    1. Travis Etienne RB Clemson - Todays pick of the moment
    2. Josh Meyers OC OSU - Best player at a position of need
    3. Hunter Long TE BC - A TE is a need and this one also helps the run game
4a. Tony Fields II ILB West byGod Virginia - Fields plays an attacking style and matches well with the Steelers defensive scheme
4b. Patrick Johnson OLB Tulane - OLB depth is a need and Johnson fills that with a plus
    6. Jaelon Darden WR N.Texas - Tough slot WR that also is a punt/kick returner
7a. Marco Wilson CB Florida - Slot CB that plays 'man up' redirecting those pesky TEs and slot WRs
7b. Ben Petrula OL BC - Petrula is a mean and nasty OT in the run game. Expect him to backup at OT and OC.
I think it looks really good. Get your RB, OC and #2 TE in the first 2 days.

Personally, I would think of using one of those 4th round picks on a OT. Maybe Spencer Brown from Northern Iowa is still there or Brendan Jaimes from Nebraska. the OT talent starts to drop off on day 3 IMO and so far there isnt much depth there. Could also use D line depth.

This time looked to sure up the trenches. Not as happy here but some good prospects. I might be getting some favorites.

    1. Christian Barmore DE Bama - DL upgrade for whoever is backing up Tuitt and Heyward and eventual replacement.
    2. Landon Dickerson OC Bama - Through all the injuries this guy still rises to the top.
    3. Spencer Brown OT N.Iowa - Attitude is mean and nasty. OL needs to remember how to dominate.
4a. Trey Sermon RB OSU - Checks the boxes for a Steelers RB.
4B. Patrick Johnson OLB Tulane - Upgrade for backup OLB.
    6. Jaelon Darden Slot WR N.Texas - Tough guy in the slot that is also a ST ace.
7a. Cole Van Lanen OT Wisconsin - Just a pure football player at the OT position that loves to get those tough yards.
    7b. Luke Farrell TE OSU

    I don't like seeing a 7b.

    55: R2 P23 EDGE Joseph Ossai - Texas
    57: R2 P25 LB Nick Bolton - Missouri
    72: R3 P8 RB Javonte Williams - North Carolina
    87: R3 P23 C Quinn Meinerz - UW-Whitewater
    101: R3 P37 DL Alim McNeill - NC State
    103: R3 P39 TE Hunter Long - Boston College
    127: R4 P22 WR Sage Surratt - Wake Forest
    128: R4 P23 CB Kelvin Joseph - Kentucky
    140: R4 P35 OT Robert Jones - Middle Tennessee
    165: R5 P21 RB Demetric Felton - UCLA
    184: R6 P1 CB Marco Wilson - Florida
    244: R7 P18 DL Naquan Jones - Michigan State

I traded back multiple times to get more picks, then moved up to snag Wilson as a value pick still on the board.

I would take that in a millisecond.

Pitts is a steal at 24.
Collins could be there at 55; either way: great pick.
Williams in R3 is almost as big of a steal as Pitts.
Hill is taken at about the right spot (good pick).
    And, everything else is gravy.

    Fantastic ,,

My question would be about Parsons. Would the Steelers roll the dice on a guy who was accused of sexual misconduct? At pick 24, talent-wise he’s a steal, but it’s a little “out of character” for the Steelers.

I can definitely see the draft shaping up like this, with an ILB at 24... although it might be Zaven Collins or JOK (the Steelers have shown a LOT of interest in both).

Williams is a steal at 55. So is Myers at 87. And, well, so is Long in R4. I like the Tonga pick; the Steelers seem to do well drafting Day 3 guys from BYU. Might one of those WRs be a punter (no joke) or a corner?

Collins is a player that can be moved around at ILB and OLB just like Watt and Highsmith. JOK is a player that can move from ILB and DB. I would love either.

Indeed One is the physical freak at 260 and the other is the speedy hybrid linebacker that we’ve been looking for (for a decade). Either way, you’re getting a freak.

I don't know the history of Parsons. But with the Steelers it all depends who it is. They kept Arrow head for trying to shoot down a police helicopter. Dan Rooney was ok with James Harrison knocking down his girlfriends door and slapping her around because James said he was taking his son to get baptised. And they rolled the dice on Ben, twice. Look how long they put up with AB. There isn't anything Holy about the Steeler organisation. I do get what you are saying though and I wouldn't draft the guy if there were clearly unanswered questions.

Maybe not, does that matter? Why I am saying is if you have a high standard before the draft, that same standard should be held equal to every player after the draft. People somehow think the Steelers are super special but they are in business to make money, just like the others. They grant favour to those who can benefit them and boot the others who are "less worthy" when issues arise.

With his 40 time, I still say Parsons is long gone. The Steelers aren't the only team that will chance on character issues

You make some good points. That said, those guys were already on the team (and the Steelers stuck by them/rationalized a reason to keep them)... as opposed to a guy they’re looking at adding.

Sure they did, and their reason was cash, just like 31 other business teams.

Haskins had locker room problems that caused him to be released and the Steelers added him

A few years ago, I thought there was no way T J Watt would be there when they picked.

A few years before that, I never dreamed David DeCastro would last to the Steelers pick.

Strange things happen in real time drafting.

    You never know.

It’s like owning a house versus buying a house.

In my current house, if the shower basin cracks and the floor around it has become soaked, I have to fix it... and unless there’s a major underlying problem, I’m probably not selling.

But, if I’m looking at a new house, I’m not going to deal with that kind of repair.

    (Make sense?)

    Apples and oranges.

Haskins refused to learn the playbook. He was polite and friendly... not really a distraction; he just no longer seemed to enjoy football. Honestly, it was truly an odd (and unique) situation.

Parsons was sexually hazing younger teammates (holding a knife to their throats while putting his penis into their buttcracks). Allegedly.

Sure it makes sense. But we are not talking about fixing a house. We are talking about this perceived higher standard that many think the Steelers have. Like the Standard is the Standard, except when it isn't. But I digress since I've gotten this thread off track.

    Re: 2021 B&G Mock Draft(s)

    24. Zaven Collins ILB/OLB Tulsa
    55. Dillon Radunz OT NDSU
    87. Kenneth Gainwell RB/WR Memphis
    128. Nick Eubanks TE Michigan
    140. Patrick Johnson OLB Tulane
    216. Marco Wilson CB Florida
    245. Tommy Kraemer OG ND
    254. Isaiah McKoy WR Kent State

LOL! I think I need to tone down the small school prospects a little bit......

    Next try:
    24. Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma
    55. Baron Browning ILB OSU
    87. Jackson Carman RT Clemson
    128. Khalil Herbert RB VaTech
    140. Nick Eubanks TE Michigan
    216. Marco Wilson CB Florida
    245. Tommy Kraemer OG ND
    254. Luke Farrell TE OSU

Should maybe get a WR in there someplace....
