As a Steelers fan, for WHOM are you ROOTING?

I’m “supposed” to root against the Browns, but I would like to see them advance. As much as we make fun of them and their fans, they have remained loyal through 26 years of misery. GPODAWUND!!!

At first, I was like, “How about an all AFC North AFCCG!!!” Then, I saw Harbaugh crying about something or other... and I was immediately like, “GO BILLS MAFIA!!!” Plus, Bills fans have been through about as much pain & suffering as Browns fans.

The Chiefs are going to win a few more championships with Mahomes. I don’t dislike them, and wouldn’t necessarily be against them repeating... buuut, their fans are already chirping (it must be the Cowboys fans who became Taperiots fans who are now Chiefs fans).

    SUMMATION:
    Browns @ Bills

Not rooting but would not mind seeing the Bills win it all. Losing 4 Super Bowls in a row, they better win it IF they get there.

I have a friend who is a diehard Bills and Sabres fan and he's a good guy so maybe he gets to taste a championship for once.

The Bills are my adopted playoff team this year. Sad that I have to pick one every year.

I’m with you Tube. I would love to see the Bills win it all. It was painful watching them lose four straight. Good coach (Levy) and good QB.
Had to do something right to get there four straight times. Marv is still among us at 95.

I truly believe that Bills at Chiefs would be the most entertaining game to watch - so that is what I am rooting for. I find both teams exciting to watch.

Re: As a Steelers fan, for WHOM are you ROOTING?

I'm going Bills. Not rooting for them per sea. Just a preference. About those four losses is that, while losing four straight Super Bowls qualifies as an epic failure, it also shows how resilient those Jim Kelly Bills really were. I'd imagine it would be difficult to recover from a loss in championship game but to do it 3 times in a row. That deserves some respect. I always wondered what would have happened to the Bills if it had not been for "wide right." Would they have gone on to win the next year? Astring of Super Bowls? Or, maybe, they win that one and then don't return again?

I can't pull for anybody else in the AFC.

I have always liked Brees and thought the Chargers were stupid for trading him (it is obvious I was correct) so I hope Brees gets that last ring before he retires.

Ditto. I just don't want KC winning again. I definitely do not want to see GB win either. And like others I'm not a Bills fan. I live in Central NY (the good part not the eastern corrupt part) and want to see the Bills win. Lots of long time Bills fans around here and they have suffered enough.

I would like to see Josh Allen and the Bills take it all.

That's a great fanbase, and I like Allen.

Re: As a Steelers fan, for WHOM are you ROOTING?

I want to see Rav...oh, sorry. It’s “As a Steelers fan...”

So...if I wind up with no dog in the hunt after Saturday night, I’d say Bills or Browns vs Saints or Tampa. Specially, it’d be great to see the Bills play TB and watch Brady lose to a former AFCE rival. But if Cleveland can pull off the upset it’d be a hoot to see the Browns make it to the SB. Win or lose, I’ll likely see the glow of the fires on Lake Erie down here in Texas!

Rams? No interest whatsoever. Packers? Nope. Saints would make a story for a Brees swansong. ABSOLUTELY NO do I want Brady getting another ring!

Yeah KC needs to win more than one before they think of themselves as a dynasty. Here’s to hoping they don’t!

Only the Browns and Bills have never won a SB among all remaining playoff teams. I would rather one of them win one and I prefer it be the Bills.

Saints and Bills I’m ok with. After that maybe the chiefs

if the browns get crushed this week I’ll enjoy that just for a vicarious revenge, although it will also reveal how bad we stunk last week, maybe it will push the Steelers even more to make the necessary changes

Q: How do you anger a Chargers fan?
A: Bring up the topic of giving up on Drew Brees.

Imagine if they had kept Brees and drafted Larry Fitzgerald (instead of Philip Rivers). From 2004-2008, they would have had:

    -the best RB (LaDainian)
    -the best QB (Brees)
    -the tight end (Gates)
-the best return specialist / third down back (Sproles)
    -the best receiver (Fitzgerald)
-one of the best O-lines in football

They might have won 3 out of 5 Lombardis (we obviously would have still won in 2005 and 2008).

Re: As a Steelers fan, for WHOM are you ROOTING?

Bills are closest to home team ( other than the shits , I mean browns ) that said ....

I got to go with KC to win it all , the def sucks but I have been a big Mahomes fan since prior to him coming into the league ( well documented here ) I wanted him to be a Steeler when most thought he was a late 1st early second round guy " because he was to raw and was 2-3 years away from starting" ( what a laugher that is )
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now

Even without Larry and Brees they had the most talented roster in FB at the time, and nothing to show for it, always wished LT would have got a ring also, he was a monster

KC or the Bills. I can't ever cheer for the AFCN rivals unless they're playing eachother (or vs tom brady)

At this point I want to root for the teams who have the least amount of super bowls, who are NOT in our division. Go Bills!
The last time the Steelers won a playoff game it was 2016. That is six years ago. We are keeping the Jets and Lions company. The standard remains the standard.

I was a fan of Jim Kelly back when he was in the USFL and, being from New York (not the city), always watched the Bills growing up. I went to the University at Buffalo at the tale end of the Bills' four straight SB losses. They are the only other team I like and follow, though I didn't for many years after the whole Flutie/Johnson controversy as I saw that as an incredibly stupid decision that lead to the Music City Miracle loss. I'm happy to see them find success again and will be rooting for them. Would have been a hell of a game had the Steelers won and traveled to Buffalo.

In the late 80’s and early 90’s they were known as the “bickering bills” for they’re public infighting. Probably stemmed from they’re frustrations of falling short of their playoff goals. (Seems a little eerily familiar now) Of course that was a long time ago

we always called em the B.I.L.L.S. (Boy, I Love Losing SuperBowls)

Though to their credit they should have really won the first one against the NYG, but Norwood choked

Has anyone seen Buffalo ‘66? Underrated movie about* the adverse effect(s) of losing four straight Super Bowls.

    *(not directly; it’s an allegory.)

    Two words: Marlon McCree

2006. LaDainian had 33 TDs. In the playoffs, the Chargers had the Taperiots beat. Brady throws an INT to McCree. If McCree falls down, the Chargers win (and, IMO probably go on to win the Super Bowl).

Buuuuut, McCree does not fall down. He tries to return the INT... and he fumbles it/gives Brady a chance for the comeback.

I’ve never experienced a room go from ecstatic cheering to DEAD SILENCE so quickly.

I slowly crept out the back of the living room... and left.
