Darius Butler and Warren Sharp have been RIPPING Keith Butler for his defensive playcalls.

After the punt on 4th-&-1... they Browns have a 3rd-&-2 at their own 28. It’s about to be the Browns’ third 3-&-out in a row. Ta-da-daaaa!!! In flies Keith Butler to save the Browns’ from losing the game.

Butler dials up an oldie but goodie. He looks back to the days where he had ILBs covering the opponent’s top WR. Why wasn’t one of the CBS covering the ONLY receiver on the field? Answer: Butler has the DBs covering the TEs and the RB. I iterate, Butler has Spillane covering the ONLY receiver on the field.

Jarvis Landry obviously coverts... which sparks a long TD drive.

Luckily for the Browns, Butler kept running that same defense over & over & over. You know: shades of the Chargers game from 2018, where Butler kept putting Bince on the opposition’s #1 receiver (Keenan Allen).

Whatever that playcall is, it needs to be thrown in the trash (so that no matter whom the coordinator is, it can’t accidentally be called ever again).

After reading around, it appears that Tomlin might be fed up with Butler... and Butler’s contract most likely won’t be renewed.
