James Conner out for tonight's Bengals game

I dont have the link so sue me. Conner will miss yet another game this season, he's missed multiple games with a few different injuries. This is NOT what the DR ordered.

Reminds me of the Mendenhall/Dwyer/Redman days before Bell was drafted. Running back is going to be addressed during the offseason.

And in other news, Generalisimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

I just hope we have Conner for the playoffs because our other RBs are averaging something like negative two yards a carry. I don’t know if that’s mostly on our line, on our scheme, or if we seriously can’t draft RBs in the middle rounds. We’re gonna have so many draft needs next year, I really wish Snell and McFarland were better because Conner just isn’t dependable enough to spend money on.

The issue of so many draft needs in ery concerning. On offense alone you could argue the Steelers may need QB ( depending on Ben's health) RB , Gaurd and Tackle

I think QB will depend if Ben retires or not. I hope he doesn’t stay and take a giant chunk of our salary cap if he isn’t really a viable NFL starter anymore.

If he retires that gives us money to at least resign some guys. But if he doesn’t retire, it puts us in the position of not knowing if he’ll really make it through the 2021 season.

If we can get Minshew for a fifth rounder it might be worth it, just as a stopgap so we don’t have to burn a first rounder on a QB when we’ll probably want an offensive lineman.

What were his numbers last week? 10 for 18 yards? Big loss.

Without him it will be 15 for 12 yards.

Re: James Conner out for tonight's Bengals game

Seems there’d be a practice squad RB from another team that would be better than all 4 of ours. I realize it’s partially the OL but yesterday I was watching RBs run through tackles and hitting the edge. Our RBs flat out suck.

    I think we’ll still get our 40.

Say what you will about Benny Snell, at least he’s available to suck.

Extreme Devaluing Of the RB position is biting the Steelers in the ass yet again. Contrary to conventional NFL wisdom. A halfback is still rather important to have in the NFL.

Mendenhall was a good back. Certainly better than the other 2. I'd take 2009 / 2010 Mendenhall over anything we got now in a heartbeat

With the QBs available this would be a great year to get someone early but can the OL protect a Rookie (especially a 1st round pick) from suffering the same fate as Joe Burrow. QB/RB in the 1st and OL with 2nd for me.

Yes pre torn ACL Mendenhall was a good back. Our RB core is on par with 2012, just a whole lot of average.

Conner should open a glass factory when he retires since he's made out of it.
