I am not scared of a vaccine. What I am scared of - and what you should be scared of too - is the government requiring you to get it or be soft-locked out of society.

That aside, since for some reason they were in an all-fired frenzy to push an mRNA vaccine through instead of the normal kind using dead viral cells ... and the normal vaccine using dead viral cells will work for COVID-19 just like any other virus ... and a number of those are in development and supposedly coming in a matter of weeks ... I would rather get the normal kind.
Having said THAT, I also see little benefit to myself, personally, in getting a vaccine for a disease that poses less danger to me than, say, walking down the street and being randomly struck by a stray arrow from a crossbow.

We will. I'm a traveler so I'll definitely expect to have to get it at some point. No country will want us Americans on their soil thanks to the idiots that constantly deny science, so I'll likely have to have proof of vaccination to enter another country.

Germany’s shutdown, which was planned to last four weeks beginning Nov. 2, will remain through Dec. 20 in an attempt to lower the number of new cases in each region from the current 140 per 100,000 inhabitants per week to fewer than 50, the AP reports.
- The country will enforce additional restrictions to private gatherings, expand mask mandates, reduce the count of customers allowed in stores and discourage traditional New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Greece’s current lockdown, due to end Nov. 30, will be extended for one weekamid a surge in cases.
- Residents are only allowed to leave home for specific reasons, such as work, health, essential purchases, exercise or walking a pet, and they have to send a text or carry self-declaration.

Welp...since the US didn't purchase nearly enough of either of the vaccines...I don't think you will have to worry. Most of us likely won't see opportunities to make a choice about being vaccinated until the late spring or early summer.
I didn't think it would be any earlier than that, regardless.
I'll take the vaccine when it's available... if things seem to be going alright with it. I know I won't be allowed to work or do anything the rest of my life, if I don't take it. CONTROL.

You mention "common sense" and the one topic that I cant understand why it triggers people is wearing a mask. If you go into surgery, everyone wears a mask to prevent bacteria and viruses from the OR staff from infecting the patient with an open surgical access point. Same too when you goto Intensive Care Unit to visit somebody. The whole time that people were required to wear a mask to enter some places wasnt something intrusive to me and it was just some common sense like done in Hospital/Healthcare settings.

There are 3 ASTM rating levels of surgical masks. N95 are considered respirators. There are many factors that affect airborne virus transmission such as size of the particle, air humidity, proximiity, duration of time next to infected source, time of survivability of virus, etc.

The Omicron variant has proven to be one of the most transmissible variants, with Measles being the most transmissible virus known to man. But early in 2020 that variant wasnt as transmissible. Either way, I wasnt inconvenienced by needing to put on a mask to go into healthcare facilities, etc. Its no different than having to put on pants to goto a restaurant instead of showing up commando. But man, did it ever trigger some people.
