So what are everyone’s thoughts on this upcoming game?
We should win, but with the Bills coming the week after this is the definition of a trap game. I think we will get yet another ugly win, but at this point, a win is a win.

Back on point. 32-14

The trap game was Wednesday.
I think it will be close... 4 day prep vs 10+ for them.
Still see the win, but I’ll say 23-17
Have to be within one score... this is the way

They definitely need to be worried about those pass rushers. This is a dangerous defense that could really bang Ben around if they aren't on point.
The good news is that they just had a bad game, and Coach Tomlin called them on it. I think they'll be ready for this game and get it done.
I see another win for the Steelers coming. I know the Football Team has a very good pass defense statistically but I don't think they have played a passing team like what Ben and Co are bringing this week. Chase Young could be a problem for our OL. Alex Smith doesn't scare me in their passing game so if we can jump to a lead and force them to throw we should win big. However, I do like their run attack with Gibson, McKissic, and Barber. All 3 are good runners, good receivers, and pass block well. If those guys get going it will be another one of those last possession could decide it games.
Prediction:
Steelers 31
Football Team 14
The only concern for me really is the short week with the typical "Ravens hangover" game that usually follows the week after playing Baltimore
However, I don't think this was a typical Ravens game and that was the actual trap game. Tuitt even went on record to say it was gonna be an 'easy' game so the team definitely took them lightly (which kind of pissed me off, you never take the ravens lightly)
I wish there were a way to hypnotize our offense (and OC) into thinking we are down 10 points all game long. That's the only way we'd blow teams out. Ben and the receivers are different animals when they have to be.
I wish I knew how teams like KC just come out scoring TDs, and then just keep doing it all game long. Sure Mahomes and their pass catchers are great, but in the grand scheme of things our guys are pretty capable talent wise as well. We just refuse to do it at the highest level unless we have to.
The Deadskins are not very good overall but they have some things going for them. They may be the best team in the NFC East right now (only because how bad the division is however). Their pass rush is solid as is Terry McLaughlin. Alex Smith is a game manager but he is probably better than at least Dwayne Haskins and Kyle Allen. They also have more rest and more time to prepare than the Steelers. This is probably yet another close game
Actually if we're going to finish 15-1 this is the game to lose since it's the NFC.
Redskins offense are a perfect fit for Steelers D in theory. Bend dont break is what our D has been great at. Smith will dink and dunk, Gibson will have a few big runs but I see a bunch of FG’s. 31-19 Steelers
So, you’re saying that the offense will feel the need to “make up for the loss” of Bud... much like how the defense had to step it up a notch in the absence of Ben.
If so... if the offense can gel, this team would become unstoppable.
(side-note: I think Highsmith will be fine, but if the offense “thinks” that they need to take it to the next level, so be it.)

As I mentioned in the gameball thread, it appeared as though the Steelers had stopped planning/preparing for the Ravens... and were looking ahead to the game against the WFTs.
I can’t really blame the Steelers for doing that. You would hope that the Steelers could readily beat a depleted Ravens team with whatever gameplan they had put in place (the week prior)... and instead, they spent a few extra days watching game tape of the WTFs.
So who starts if Nelson is out? Layne or Sutton?
Also, Bos is injured.
Ben's knee. Crap.
After watching some teams today, seeing how the Steelers have played recently, add in a key injury or two and I’m not confident this team will win the division...
Why do I feel like we have a 1-4/2-3 stretch coming up???
This game is not being nationally televised. In fact, outside of a few cities (those surrounding Pittsburgh and D.C.), it’s not being shown many places at all.
I can’t take the day off... so, I’ll miss the first half.
Forget that!!! The Browns would have to go 5-0 and we’d have to go 0-5 for us to lose the division. It would also take a collapse of epic proportions for the Browns to miss the playoffs.
As in: the Browns can win next week (without hurting us) AND essentially eliminate the Ravens from the playoffs.
Go Browns!!!
Just claw out another victory. That's all I'm looking for today. Football team isn't so bad that you can't lose to them, but this time they have really got to sharpen some things up. The drops and special teams in particular. D is as great as I can realistically expect -- maybe better. But it would be nice to see 27 points, or even more to make things comfortable early.
Antonio Gibson and Terry McLaurin. Stop those two, and you have a really good chance of preventing the WFT from scoring enough to beat you. Also their defensive front is ferocious. If the Steelers win, it will be an ugly disjointed affair.
