Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar

    Thanks!

I actually didn’t know that much about Art Jr. I like how he casually says “fuck” every once in awhile. For some reason that was surprising.

It’s also interesting how casually, and sometimes not so casually, racist the league was in that era. The Steelers drafting Mean Joe from a black college was kind of a rarity. Even the Chief wanted some white Catholics being drafted just because. And I love how Art Jr. drafted a black guy with an Irish sounding last name and tried to convince his dad that the kid was Irish.

    Thank God for Bill Nunn.

I'll have to read this at a later time as well. Thank you for posting, Dwins.

He talks about Nunn quite a bit in the interview. Art Jr. shared the attitude of really building through the draft and finding talent in places where other teams didn’t bother to look too hard, like the black colleges.
