To pretend that Trump and Biden are on equal footing is laughable beyond belief and proof of just how far out to lunch the right is. Biden is no George Washington but he leaves Trump so far behind he may seem like he is in comparison.

When was the last time anyone had a civil discussion about how to make America better for it people without having an ax to grind? What are your ideas to make America better for all its citizens? Why don't Democrats & Republicans demand more from the politicians in their parties? Is it perhaps because those who vote for them are the exact image of their candidate?

The only thing that will join the Democrats & Republicans together is a strong 3rd party that places the good of its people above all else, with the virtues listed above.. What exists now is a massive avalanche of cancer consuming everything and everyone in its path. If you think you can survive the force of a real avalanche, my condolences.

That would be my first two changes if I could wave a magic wand over American politics; get the money out of it - make them run on set amounts of funds - and pass legislative revisions to who district lines are drawn. Still use the Census but make it totally an independent body. That might allow for competitive elections that would force Congressional Reps and Senators to actually listen to their constituents rather than the money men.

And I am sure this will cue a rush of postings on how only evil liberals and soulless Democrats are behind all this.

And that would also help. The other issue is everything in America is driven by money. Money is king in the US, that is why many wealth people think and act like they are better than others.

Going back and forth and taking sides with career politicians and selfish businessmen like trump isn't going to unite the country or improve it. It just continues the CNN-Fox news circus and furthers divides the country. Like I said somewhere, the Democrat and Republican parties along with the news media have accomplished what Al Qaeda couldn't do and that is to divide the country. The goal of terrorism is to create and capitalize on disunity in a society.

So I think a 3rd party is necessary to move this country to middle ground and thrust the country forward.. For example, suppose a 3rd party could come up with a healthcare system that would be fair and equal to all Americans. Would you vote for them? I sure would.
