This was definitely one of the worst takes of all times, but to Colin’s credit he has admitted that he was totally wrong about the Steelers and now says they are the best constructed roster in the NFL.

I wonder is Schein ever talked about how wrong he was. Of course he predicted the Ravens would win today... but he’s a notorious Raven licker.

Cowher’s has done his job: we are talking about him.

Notice that his “hot takes” rarely involve fringe teams. The Steelers get ratings. The Lakers get ratings. The Cowboys, the Yankees, and the Bruins get ratings.

    Back to the topic...

7-0... and yet, this team has yet to play two complete halves. Once the offense gets into rhythm (I’m looking at the Dallas game for this to happen), we should truly become a force to be reckoned with. As much as Baltimore isn’t built to play from behind, our defense is built to play with a lead. If the offense can score early (and keep scoring), it will allow Watt & Dupree to focus on rushing the passer (and not so much on stopping the run)... and then, well... it’ll be fun as a Steelers fan.

You’re right that we really need to play compete games from now on, but the thing that is actually reassuring is that we can play an absolutely awful half of football and still beat really good teams.

That’s one thing the Ravens don’t do. They don’t face a lot of adversity so they don’t react well to it. We LIVE for adversity. We create it just to make things interesting. And we STILL win.

That’s a team that’s tough to the core.

Is this the best Steeler team we've had in a while?

This seems like the first time since the mid 2000's where we had both a good offense and defense. I think our defense actually matches up well against the 2005 squad. This front 7 may even be better than what we had, as great as they were. Tuitt / Heyward may be even a better duo than Smith / Kiesel was, and same goes for Dupree / Watt vs Woodley / Harrison. On the offensive side, we don't have Parker and the Bus, but we definitely have more talent at WR this time around. Which I don't mind, in the current times it's a passing league.

It's very possible ... They are very balanced in offense in the sense that it is not only 1 or two weapons in offense, since everyone contributes and it is a different player in each game who leads the offense for yards

In defense, they just need to be more consistent in the 3rd downs and they can be the best defense in the NFL.

I already thought that the 2017 team were the most talented in the Roethlisberger era but the steelers had way too much drama in their team, the leadership was missing and the lockerroom was toxic ... Shazier's injury was also a killer .... The 2020 team might not be as talented as 2017 even though they have a lot of talent but they have no drama and they have great chemistry which is very important if you want to have a realistic chance of winning for the super bowl.

Well said, and I agree. This 2020 team seems more like a 'family' than the Killer B's who were all about the stats and personal glory. A big reason for this season's success is likely a big part due to the harmony in the locker room.
