Said it in the game thread that that 4th TD for Claypool was all Ben. Here’s a nice breakdown of it on Twitter:

“He gets paid too now”. Love it.
Great breakdown...This video also proves that Ben is not a dumb QB!
Ben said that he changed the play to something they’d never run out of that formation before with that personnel. Claypool had never even seen it in practice. But of course he just executed perfectly.
Hats off to Ben and the clutch rookie on that one.
No way. Ben can't be that smart. He doesn't study enough like Peyton.
Yeah, pretty basic stuff. The Eagles are showing cover 2 high and Ben knows he has a short 8 being run from the slot on the right side, so the Safety should have to respect that. Changing the route to an out or even a corner should hold the safety long enough to give Claypool the space to run the seam.
When it happened, what I noticed most was Ben locked in on JuJu first to hold the safety with his eyes and then came back to Claypool in the slot.
Remember all the times that we as Steeler fans went crazy when Keenan Allen got isolated on Vince Williams last year? Or any time Vince Williams was on the other team's WR?? That is what Eagles fans are thinking about this play.
The offense has many advantages and the Eagles D just got beat.
All Defense!
Truth. And if Ben doesnt change the play and it goes incomplete the talk would be ..."why is Fichtner calling a play on 3rd and 8, where both his outside receivers are running a 1-yard hitch?"
My guess is those guys are running a hitch and the Tripps side originally has either a double slant, by JuJu and Claypool, or JuJu is supposed to run an 8 and Claypool the out at 8 yards to flood the zone on the left side.
Ben has always been great at improvising, one of the best. IMO that's what makes him great. That and he's a tough SOB who could take a beating, normal QB's would have been broken a long time ago by the punishment he took over his career
I agree. I don’t think Brady, Peyton or Brees would’ve been as successful as Ben in Ben’s situation just based on the fact that they couldn’t take the beating Ben did in the offenses Ben played in. Sure there’s the “he held onto the ball too long” excuses, but there’s also the fact that these plays he was running weren’t designed for quick passes and for every “held the ball too long play”, he made 2-3 that he was able to extend with his “escapability”.
The others problem with the Arians offense, this is that the offensive line and the offense in general have always had way too many penalties...Just to ask at Tom Brady right now!
Nice breakdown, like to see that the rookie picked up the changes on the fly. Shows he has the smarts to be a great player if he puts in the time.
Is it because Arians likes offensive linemen that hold, or is it because he runs more long developing deep plays, than that compared to in New England?
This notion that many of the Steeler O lines were terrible or had holding calls or offsides calls isnt entirely accurate. Arians puts the O line and his QB's in poor situations where they have to hang onto the football for a long time while a play develops. Look at all the hits his QB's took in Arizona and got injured. Look at all the hits Ben took. Would be curious to know how often Brady gets pressured this year.
Another Breakdown!
Wow. Imagine if Ben actually studied film.
But seriously, who’d have thunk that Ben would turn into Tom Brady. Excellent against the blitz and gets the ball out of his hand quicker than any QB in the NFL now.
And what’s really ironic is Tom Brady has Bruce Arians now and is getting killed and throwing picks because of... possibly slow developing plays down the field?
What a twist.
