I wish ESPN still had their comments section so I could post "boo-hoo." If you don't want to play then opt out! People are being exposed to much greater risk for $15 an hour.

For this situation,he is right. The NFL don't care about the player safety.
No, but the NFL are liars when they say it's important to them the player safety
I also agree that if the players are not happy, they need to change jobs, since the CBA is the CBA and the rules are the rules, but for the player safety, the NFL does a terrible job on that, even if they say it's important to them ... both can be true
Safety is important to protect their investment and players are fairly compensated for the risk incurred. IOW, stop the whining.
This season you never know until kickoff.
NFL postpones Monday’s Patriots-Broncos game after new positive COVID-19 test shuts down facilities
By Jim McBride Globe Staff,Updated October 11, 2020, 10 minutes ago
The NFL announced that it will postpone the Patriots' Monday game against the Denver Broncos at Gillette Stadium after the Patriots received another positive COVID-19.
The Patriots closed their facilities at Gillette Stadium Sunday morning following a new positive COVID-19 test result from Saturday night, a league source confirmed.
Players, coaches, and staff were sent home Sunday morning.
This is at least the club’s third positive test in a little over a week, with quarterback Cam Newton and cornerback Stephon Gilmore confirmed cases. Practice squad defensive tackle Bill Murray also is on the COVID-19 reserve list, but it’s unclear if he tested positive or was exposed to someone who had.

The NFL cannot simply sit on the fence. They have to have games. Players are given the option to opt out on the season, with pay, and promised no negative recourse for opting out. How much more 'free will' can you offer? Every team got memos explaining the plan going forward and by not opting out players have agreed to this plan, at least until they decide to opt out themselves. WE can have our opinions about what the NFL/players should or shouldn't do but they really don't care about those opinions. They are going to play games with the players they have, move games around each week to fit them in best as possible, and some of this MUST be played by ear and week to week. Lots of balls in the air, so to speak. I have decided to just sit back, enjoy the ride, and watch some football. It's just a freaking game after all.
99.98% chance of recovery/survival in their age group. Stop.
