    Steelers / Eagles Game

    Assuming they will play,

I think the Steelers take this game handily, they have only beaten a completely decimated SF squad, tied the lowly Bungles and were routed by both the Rams and Redskins. Their WR core is banged up and questionable to play and we have been dominant agains the run thus far. I think we keep the same gameplan, stop the run and challenge them to beat us in the air.

Dionte will be back, Ben has been comfortable spreading the ball around and our running game should be fine for another week.

    Steelers 27 Eagles 17

I got the Steelers big this week. Revenge for the schedule FU and complete disrespect given our way.

This just feels like the kind of game the Steelers lose. Ertz is exactly the type of TE that makes Bush and Edmunds look foolish routinely. DeSean Jackson could return. If his legs are healthy, no one on the roster can really turn and burn with him. Miles Sanders is just flat out really darn good.

All that being said, it seems like the Eagles just can't get out of their own way this season. I guess the Steelers take it. But not in the blowout many around the internets are predicting.

Ertz will be a good test. We need to figure out how to cover those TEs

Th eagles are first in the NFL this year in sacks(to be fair, the steelers have 15 in 3 games vs 17 in 4 games for the eagles),but this is probably the only thing that work for the eagles this year...Their offense is brutal....If the steelers double Ertz or don't put their worst player to cover him, our defense should have a very good game.

Their defense is very good, but their offense is bottom 5 right now or not far from that.

Their offensive line is banged up as well and we lead the league in sacks (but they are second). That said we historically always seem to struggle against this team even when we are "better" than them on paper. Wentz is capable of winning games by himself so we need to take them serious and the "Any Given Sunday" theme should be accentuated this week in practice!

Wentz is crap and thought he was good his rookie year. I wouldn't be to worried about him!

TJ Watt didn’t practice because of a knee injury.

I have not heard what the severity is.

Yeah, what a relief. For us, but not for Carson Wentz. Not sure if he’ll survive this game.

Steelers will win but won't cover the spread as usual. 27-23 or something close to that.

It's a hole in the defense. Bush does many things well. He's still need some awareness in zone coverages and at under 6 feet tall, just doesn't match up vs. these 6'5" inch Tight ends. The Denver Tight End was not close to contained.

I think Philly sucks. Our offense is developing fueled by rookies Claypool and McFarland hitting big plays. Once fully integrated, our weapons will be too much and our favorable matchups will be plenty.

Who or coverage needs some work and probably can't be fixed, the pass rush helps mitigate the problem.

I see it Steelers 27, Eagles 17 ( With a late score in garbage time )

Fant being opened wasn’t all about Bush. Some of that was Edmunds not following responsibilities.

Having said that, I think Ward Jr and Ertz paired with Wentz’ ability to extend plays gives the Steelers D headaches.

The Steelers elevated Trey Edmunds from the practice squad today to the active/inactive roster for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Heinz Field. Edmunds will revert back to the practice squad after the game without having to pass through waivers.

I'm not worried about the eagles offense .... they are garbage overall and Wentz has a lot of turnovers .... i'm more worried about their defense .... they have a great pass rush and they have 17 sacks after 4 games, which is over 4 per game ... only the steelers are better on that with 5 per games.

It was such an ugly game, but I can't imagine how it must have been in the forums with all the hot take and overreaction after a game like that on offense!

The eagles had 6 sacks in the second quarter in this game ... 6 in one quarter!

Eagles haven’t beaten the Steelers in Pittsburgh in over 20 years. So we’ve got that going for us... which is nice.

Replaying the McCloud 58 yard run....what a great play. They had the entire defense faked out. All the Steelers moved left, and the Eagles went with them, and then McDonald turned and started downfield to block and shut Slay out. I think think McCloud was pissed that he didn’t take it all the way.
