    RIP Gale Sayers

His career was to short but the Kansas Comet was fun to watch. One of my favorite RB of all time.

One of the best backs ever. He was the Bobby Orr of the NFL. One of the greatest that we never got to see because of knee injuries that would have been easily fixed with today's medical advancements.

Well, we got to see a lot more of Bobby Orr then we did of Gale Sayers. I like the analogy though.

Yeah I think Orr was able to play through his injuries but like Sayers was never the same athlete after them. Just imagine both of them playing with today's medicine and reconstructed ACL's.

Ezra Tank, it's an even better analogy than I first thought.

"He had this ability to go full speed, cut and then go full speed again right away. I saw it every day in practice. We played live, and you could never get a clean shot on Gale. Never"
