He was just released by the JETS.
Sign him for league minimum. It just goes to show you NONE of these RB's are worth what he wanted.

Oh lord. First Brown and now Bell. Troubled people. He can’t even stick with the god awful Jets. Says a lot. What a waste of talent.
Why not? He’s an upgrade to the position and if he can be gotten on a discount, it wouldn’t hurt. Gase and the Jets were a horrible situation to start with...any back under Gase never gets utilized correctly and Gase was negative about Bell, to the public, from the get go before even meeting the guy.
Jets straight up released him. So technically....
for the vet minimum?
You think the Eagles or 49ers ever considered taking T.O back in the ensuing times he was released even for vet minimum? No, probably not, because of personal antics that burned bridges between him and those teams. Same thing with Bell, he burned bridges with the Steelers, only differences is T.O was better and more reliable as a football player then Bell ever was.
Fuck Bell, unless conner gets hurt.
I'd gladly give Samuels salary and roster spot up.
Not saying they should...but even Bell high and hobbled is more useful.
NO! Why screw up this locker-room's chemistry with Bell? Talent upgrade is not always the better move.
I was so wrong when around 15-20 months ago I thought Tomlin couldn't control a locker room and create a good culture when the steelers had so much drama in the killer B's era
Since AB,Martavis and Bell are all gone, the steelers are drama free and it's so refreshing.
I actually agree with that statement. But like to poke at everyone a bit. Like a humbled and chastened Leveon Bell that just wanted to come back and play a role to chase a ring would be fine...but not a guy who still feels the need to prove he is the best RB in the league.
Nobody wanted to trade for Bell? Say it ain't so is it because he was just too good?
This isn't about sticking it to Bell.
This decision would be an answer to the question: Can he help the team win football games?
Only the team knows if they have any interest in him at all, and only the people that talk to him directly will know if he is willing to be a team player and play a role in a much bigger picture.
If he is open and honest, shows a willingness to do what is asked of him, and the team feels they can use him? Of course. As long as it is cool with the locker room. I'm sure guys like Cam Heyward, Ben, TJ, etc... would probably be asked about it. If the players are cool with it. Why not?
If he wants big money and is all ego about the whole thing.......not a chance.
Don't forget, this dude was not just a great RB while here. He was an outstanding receiver, and a great blocker in pass protection. Having a guy that good as a role player at a cheap rate is like stealing if both sides really want it.
Chiefs. Well I guess it was a good move for him. He gets his guaranteed money and gets out of that dumpster fire in New York
