It's not a big thing and probably not "news" worthy, but I like that he thought enough of the effort to say thanks. So much of the organization is 100% focused on all things football that the 'behind the scenes' crew doing the day to day chores to keep things in order, organized, cleaned, and just generally in stock get somewhat over-looked. Just a 'Your work is noted and appreciated' move. It's nice and makes everyone feel part of the same team. Good job Coach.

One of only 3 teams in the league with no opt outs. They have at least one player (Conner) who has a health reason to opt out. They have to have at least one bottom of the roster player who the guaranteed $350K opt-out salary is better than risking getting cut. They have to have at least one player with an older parent at home. Etc. What is my point? Somehow, the organization has made its policies/protocols clear, understandable, and comfortable for the players. I imagine that Tomlin's communication skills were integral to that.

This is another example of that skill set.

Cam Heyward also had a health reason to opt out.
