I saw that stat brought up during the game last night, and that is insane to me. In the Super Bowl era going back over 50 years no team has ever been this historically bad on defense. The Cowboys seem to have a few talented players on the defense, so to be this bad tells me that there is a likely a coaching/scheme problem.
There O-line injuries are killing them too. The whole left side of their line appears basically incompetent to me. Cameron Heyward and Bud Dupree should be feasting big time if those same guys are there in 3 weeks when the Steelers play them.
Griffen so far this year in 6 games:1.5 sacks,4 QB hits and 10 pressures
Dupree in 5 games:5 sacks,10 QB hits and 17 pressures!
Comparable pass rusher,no....
Griffen and Dupree don't even play the same position. 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE both rush the passer, but after that the similarities kind of stop...
This guy is not smart and I looked over the website he produces content for and they are not very good either. It is just another example of how Twitter is full of people who are loudly and confidently stating their opinions without much to back it up.
The "comparable pass rushers" for Dupree in FA would have been Aldon Smith, Matt Judon, Leonard Floyd, and Shaq Barrett. Dupree's production is better than all of them. And only 2 of them ever made it to the open market.
They got smashed by Washington lol
One of the worst tweet ever
This adds to the awesomeness of this tweet. The Cowboys are know letting it be known that they are willing to move Everson Griffen as they basically admit their season is over and their defense is trash.
3rd place behind the Generic Brand from the swamps of D.C. after losing to them by 22 points.
Washington had the worst running game before the game vs Cowboys._ They had 208 rushing yards vs Dallas and 250 more yards overall.Total domination
It’s one of two things:
The Cowboys are poorly run.
The Cowboys have decided upon “Abhorance for Lawrence”.
Indeed
There are 7 teams with one win or less.
The NFC East has no team with more than 2 wins. Someone has to come out as the “winner”. LOL What is strange is that the winner of the NFC East “has” to go to the playoffs... which would be the 19th pick in the draft. Meanwhile, the other three will have top ten (top five?) picks. It’s almost like a punishment to win that division.
NOTE: The Chargers and Bengals only have two wins, and they both play in tough divisions. But, both of those teams have three last-second losses apiece. So, I figure that they’ll win 2-3 more games (and both end up with better records than the bottom three teams in the NFC East).
Everson Griffen to the Lions for a possible 5th round pick
Poe will be gone too according to one report

Only Smith will remains in this list for now
I gotta say, signing $17 million worth of fringe free-agents... and turning them into several Day 3 picks isn’t all that shabby of a move. It’s something I could see Belichick doing.
Don’t get me wrong: it didn’t help the Cowboys WIN... but, if the bottom is falling out, the ability to acquire several draft picks is indeed a valuable skill for a GM.
Another bad decision by the Cowboys front office in the 2017 draft.....
