Hopefully the Steelers can start the season at home, it's been a long time since they have done so.

And almost have the worst single game collapse in steelers history...They were up 27-3 at halftime and with like 10 minutes left in this game it was 27-27!...They won on a FG at the end….One month later the Browns beat the steelers 31-10.The Browns were in the playoffs race and they were 7-4 at one point, but of course it was a fluke and they lost 49 of their next 53 games after!

I'm surprised there's not a big ceremony with this where each coach or owner steps forward to receive an official document, and then the next five minutes is filled with highlights of the previous season and hopes for the coming season.

Of course, tickets would be $50 each and there'd be a multi-million dollar TV contract as well for it. Come on Goodell, you're wasting an opportunity to milk the cash-cow one more time!

    It may happen this year.
Although it shouldn't because when the Baseball schedule came out the Pirates were home that weekend and the overlap is brutal in that area.
But with baseball changing and the delay in the NFL schedule release it would be nice.

If they are home for week 1 it should be a PT game for Ben's return.

I expect to be a Prime time game or a big game at 16:25 against a team like the Cowboys….I expect that the SNF will be for the Bucs but I would be very surprised if the steelers start the season at 13:00 on sunday

Sunday could be for KCs big Super Bowl banner game.
Thursday is nice but the reality is Sunday night is the BIG game of the week on average

to maximize exposure week 1 I'd do something as follows:
Thursday KC vs whomever they play
Sunday Night Steelers vs Colts (only because Ben usually lights the Colts up and I want to see Rivers get decked by TJ and get picked off 5 times)
Monday Game 1 - Bucs vs whomever
Monday Game 2 - Raiders vs whomever to open their new fancy digs but also going with tradition lately of them opening the first Monday night on the back end

The Steelers opening game will be against the Browns. Why? That way the media has months to talk about Jussie Garrett vs. Mason Adolph.

At least there are NO International games this season, with the health issues of 2020 so far, keeping the player's here at home is probably a wise decision. Screw that over sea's game anyway !!

Very possible that it will be a game against the Colts because this is the first game of Rivers with the colts vs the steelers with Ben who is back…

    Thursday night:Chiefs vs ?
Sunday at 4:25:Steelers or ? vs Cowboys
    Sunday night:Bucs vs ?
Monday night game 1:Colts vs steelers or ?(maybe bengals)
Monday night game 2:Raiders vs ?

Possible that this is at home on SNF against the eagles but I don't know if this tweet is credible.

The steelers based on their opponents won vs loss record in 2019 have one the three easiest schedules in football. Not making the playoffs this year, with an extra 7th seed would be an EPIC fail.

It would be a failure but the record for the others teams of last year has nothing to do with this year .... We have seen worst to first or first to last almost every year ... Just look at the 49ers last year ...

If this is true, the steelers will face the Eagles at home in week 1 on SNF and the cowboys in Dallas in week 3 on CBS at 4:25

I just hope the steelers won't play against the Browns or the Ravens on the road this year on a TNF.

See, I don't care for those games as much. I know I've said this repeatedly, but with that extra game coming into the schedule, I'd much rather see us dump the NFC and play two AFC divisions and then the last third of the season being all divisional games with three games per team rather than two (and keep the schedule balanced for divisions).

I really hope our opening game is against an
    NFC team.

We all know that Ben is awful in his first game back from even a bye. But from
a year away from football with a limited offseason? I expect rust city.

I have a lot of confidence in Ben this season, especially with this talented receiving core, but I expect it take him
at least one regular season game to get his groove back.

Yeah, and we need to hear some heartbreaking stories about everyone these coaches ever loved who is now dead and can’t get to see them coach in this historic season.

I’ve heard that it goes like this:

1-4: NFC-AFC that way if the season starts late and/or there is no training camp, the games that “mean less” occur first.

    After that...

    5-6 equally-ranked conference games
    7-10 division + bye week
    11-14 intra-conference division
    15-17 division

    I kind of like it.

I see that beast also posted something similar... although, in those tweets, I think that those people confused inter- (with intra-).

Seeing more and more “leaks” that the Steelers will be at home against the Eagles.

The report of John Clayton is maybe false(That the first 4 week would be the NFC vs AFC)

I liked the opposing conference play in weeks 1-4 much better...
