No QB for the steelers on this draft!
It is exactly the positions that were obvious they were going to address. Whether or not the players are the right ones...no way of telling right now. But they got another WR so that Deon Cain and Ryan Switzer much less Amorah Dobrah are not actually being counted on for anything. They got a RB who profiles as not a carbon copy of all the other backs on the roster. Then they got interior OL depth. Then they got an outside linebacker. They typically like to have 4-6 lying around the roster. They also picked up a player to try and fill Barron's role. Hopefully between the rookie, Allen, and UGIII someone steps up and takes control of the "dimebacker" role. And finally a DT -- since they only had one...kind of obvious.
This is a good draft. Overall an A draft
We got reasonably good values at our positions of need plus factoring in Minkah I will guess "B" grade. We'll see in 3 years.

1 Minkah: home run!!!
2 Claypool: when it comes to WRs, in the Steelers I trust
3 Highsmith:
4 Booger: worth a crapshoot
4 Dotson: many wanted him
6 Brooks: gotta be better than Dangerfield
7 Davis: project
Solid draft. Now we wait to see how they preform.
1. Graham Barton, C, Duke 2. Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida 3. Maason Smith, DT, LSU 3. Max Melton, CB, Rutgers 4. Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame 6. Tommy Eichenberg, ILB, Ohio State 6. MJ Devonshire, CB, Pittsburgh

can't be worse than the 2016 draft
Just Minkah makes it a B overall. I like Claypool. He's the only one I watched regularly (as a ND fan). If he pans out, just those two guys make it an A.
On its own it would appear the other teams in our division had the splashier drafts. But long term the Steelers draft could still be better far better than the rest especially considering that Minkah is of known star quality.
Particularly interested Claypool, Dotson and Davis.
I think all draft picks could easily make the team.
One unknown factor is how much of an impact any rookies across the league. Its quite possible camps wont open on time. Might face a scenario with only a couple of weeks practice before the season starts.
First time I post a tweet of Marczi but this is interressing...
I keep hearing how the Ravens are so great for drafting Queen. Okay. Both the Saints and the Seahawks should have taken him. The Ravens didn’t do something spectacular to acquire Queen; they lucked into that pick. AND, it’ll take a lot for Queen to be a better defender than Fitzpatrick.
One last thing, I hear Steelers fans saying that:
“Queen was my guy for the Steelers”
“I wanted Queen at 49”
“The Ravens stole Queen from us”
There was zero chance Queen was lasting until pick 49. Liking Queen is one thing, but thinking that somehow the Ravens “stole” him away is laughable.
