    Round 4: O-linemen aplenty, O-linemen galore!!!

Round 4 is the sweet spot for O-linemen. Lots of talented players that have “flaws”... but, they are fixable flaws. I’d love two of these guys (although, I’m guessing that the Steelers only take one in R4).

With a pick at 124 and 135, that is just 18 and 29 selections away. Doubtful that all of them will be gone by 135 (even though I expect a run of at least 10-15 being drafted in this round). So, the Steelers could select another position at 124 and still get a good O-lineman at 135... but, I’d rather get the “best available” at 124.

    Ben Bredesen, OG, Michigan
    Michael Onwenu, OG, Michigan
    Jon Runyan Jr., OT/OG, Michigan

    Tyler Biadasz, OG/OC, Wisconsin

    Kevin Dotson, OG, Louisiana
    John Simpson, OG, Clemson
    Saahdiq Charles, OG, LSU
Shane Lemiuex, OG, Oregon (no relation)
    Charlie Heck, OT, North Carolina
    Kolton McKivitz, OL, West Virginia

Which one (or two) is your preference???

Again, Jack Driscoll is an OT from Auburn that I also like. All these guys I mentioned are guards.

I still like Jacob Eason, Lamichael Perine, Harrison Bryant, Troy Pride, Bradlee Anae

Circle the Michigan guys and Dotson/Simpson.

I'd like Biadasz but it's been rumored he was red flagged due to a hip problem. Not good for an OL.

I really like how you have these ranked, and great point on Driscoll... RT that really projects better inside. Flexibility is always a plus. Where would you slide him into the list? Below Bredesen... above?

That list is the reason they were able to go OLB with Highsmith. There are still a lot of really good OL on the board. I'm looking more at interior OL as a priority, and any of those guys would fill the bill.

Bredesen, Dotson, Simpson, Lemiuex and Runyan Jr would be my top choices out of that group.

They have the 18th(124) and 29th(135) picks in round 4. This is where I think there is even the chance of them moving up for a guy they really like, or down if they believe they can get equal value later. They are definitely going to have good players available to them with those picks.

    Isn't this great?

I like Biadasz to replay an expensive and declining Pouncey and John Simpson.

I would be happy with Bredesen.

    Exactly

There are a dozen (literally twelve) O-linemen grouper together that will still be available in R4. Conversely, there were only two or three more pass rushes/edge players. Plus... it was Highsmith!!!

Good point. If “their guy” is there at 107, they could package both R4 picks to move up to get him. Or, if they see that they still have ten guys grouped the same, they could keep one and trade back with the other one. In other words, those two picks give them options.

Biadasz was easily a R2 pick, but he’ll need hip surgery (and possibly shoulder surgery); so, he’ll likely miss training camp... reducing his chance to earn a starting role. But, if we are looking long-term, it would be a calculated risk. Plus, since Pouncey isn’t retiring for at least a season, the Steelers (and Biadasz) have the luxury of time.)

    SUMMATION:
I could see drafting Biadasz for starting in 2022, and drafting another O-linemen to (possibly) start this upcoming season. Double-dip.

Oh... speaking of calculated risk due to injury:
    Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia

If his medicals dont make a team queasy, they may be drafting one of the better DBs from the entire class. For me a broken ankle is not a big concern. I would love to take both the "medical risks" in Hall and Biadasz.

That could be an awful R4... or, one of the all-time great R4s.
