The “My Dad Played in the NFL” mock draft

We all know that Tomlin has a thing for bloodlines. Well, there are a ton of players in this draft who have fathers that played in the NFL.

49 Antoine Winfield Jr. ...S, Minnesota
102 Michael Pittman Jr. ...WR, USC
    124 Alex Highsmith ...OLB, Charlotte
    135 Thaddeus Moss ...TE, LSU
198 Jon Runyon Jr. ...OL, Michigan
232 Charlie Heck ...OL, North Carolina

That's actually an interesting draft class even without the bloodlines.

I noticed it when I had Winfield, Highsmith, and Runyon already in my mock. Then, we had a discussion about Pittman (and Jefferson)... and the cogs started turning. LOL Voila!!!

I'm a believer in NFL bloodlines as the father coaches up the son, and son realizes this business. I prefer the father and son to play the same position, or close to it. When Dad played TE, and his son plays Safety, we'll that's a different story.

The one really sad thing about this draft is it seems like 1 out of every six guys picked early had tragedy and lost a parent or sibling already below the age of 24.
