    Great story.

It's what people do when nobody is watching or listening that tells you most about them.

Troy was a class act and a great human being.

    Thanks for posting that article

A team is more than its stars and Troy obviously got that

FWIW for those who do not recall much about McFadden, he helped save the 2005 Super Bowl season in the Colts-Steelers/Bettis fumble playoff game (forward to 6:40 of video below)

I've gotten to know BMac on twitter as a person , been following one another for awhile now and talk once in awhile ... really good guy in his own right we always see and hear of athletes when they screw up as people off the field but rarely when they are just genuinely good people BMac is one of the good guys ..

1st of all that was an excellent post thanks for sharing.

I can't say I know McFadden as well as you do, but I always liked the player he was a baller.

Troy was such a Great player we were pretty lucky to have him on our sidelines.

Yeah batting the ball away from Reggie Wayne on 2nd and 2 2 plays before the final kick is one of the great unsung plays in Steelers history. Probably overlooked because it was sandwiched in between the Bus fumble and the Vanderjagt shank

Nah I get that but still very cool that you have sat down and had a real conversation with him, that in itself is pretty cool.

It was a huge honor to see Polamalu in a steelers uniform for 12 years!

Amazing players on and off the field and so humble!

For Troy fans IMO one of his last peak Troy moments is on tonight as NBC Sports (not the big network but the sports cable channel) is rebroadcasting the December 2010 Steelers-Ravens Ben broken nose/Troy strips Flacco for fumble game from 7-9:30 pm EDT

Watching now. That defense on the road just balled out. Ben the toughest SOB. Heath, just as tough, took an ugly shot and should have been a penalty/fine against the stinking Ratbirds.

The playoffs game in that year were even better!

It was another classic close game between his 2 teams.
