That was pretty awesome, eh? The way he walked out like a boss.... I can see it riles you Dem/Socialist/ communists up...lol! Were you out throwing rocks and bricks with you buddies last night?

You're right, I did say I was going to ignore him. He isn't under my skin at all... no one on an internet forum bothers that much...lol. I probably will ignore him at some point, but until then, I'll just I'll just dig a little myself.
He's an internet troll. I never understood people like him. In person they would never act like this (probably get their ass kicked) but safely behind his keyboard he's the bravest man in the world.
Sad.
Well, technically, it was the rubber bullets and tear gas that they used to clear a path for the President to take a campaign photo-op NOT the fact that he was holding a Bible.
Given that the PASTOR of that specific church has come out and roundly condemned the actions of the police and POTUS; I gotta figure that facts and information are no longer relevant to individual reactions to recent events.
Whether it is true or accurate; the images of national guard and military troops in the streets violently clashing with protesters/rioters is just TOO EASY to make brown-shirt jokes. Don't they have the green or grey unis anymore? Putting police and military troops in black and brown (the colors of the SS and the SA) just makes this too darn easy for those that dislike the police and military to make memes/jokes.
I am continually shocked at the overall incompetence of current state and federal leaders to not trip over their own dicks in responding to recent events. Honestly, this is what happens when stupid people play stupid games. Everyone wins stupid prizes!
Lol, me too. Here is an article from the Park Police perspective. Obviously we weren't there so we are only going to get versions of the the truth and versions of clipped video. Anyways, here is the article:
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dc-...p-church-visit
U.S. Park Police reportedly say protesters near the White House were pushed back by riot police on Monday evening because they were attacking police officers, not because of a visit by President Trump to a nearby church that had been set alight the night before.
Trump visited St. John’s Episcopal Church, which had been attacked by vandals on Sunday, moments after he addressed the nation and promised to restore “law and order” amid the protests and riots that have engulfed the country in the wake the death of George Floyd.
But as he did so, protesters were being pushed back by riot police near Lafayette Square who charged the crowds and used what was reported as being tear gas to disperse them. Media outlets connected the pushback with Trump’s visit -- and described the protesters as “peaceful.”
“Park Police Tear Gas Peaceful Protesters To Clear Way For Trump Church Photo-Op,” read a NPR headline.
“Protesters Dispersed With Tear Gas So Trump Could Pose at Church,” said a New York Times story.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer issued a joint statement to call out the “photo-op.”
“Across our country, Americans are protesting for an end to the pattern of racial injustice and brutality we saw most recently in the murder of George Floyd,” the statement read. “Yet, at a time when our country cries out for unification, this President is ripping it apart. Tear-gassing peaceful protestors without provocation just so that the President could pose for photos outside a church dishonors every value that faith teaches us.”
But on Tuesday morning, Park Police sources told WTOP that this was not the case, arguing that the protesters were not all peaceful, that tear gas was not used, and that officers did not know of Trump’s visit to the house of worship.
“A source says tear gas was never used -- instead smoke cannisters were deployed, which don't have an uncomfortable irritant in them,” reporter Neal Augenstein tweeted. “And, the source says Park Police didn't know President Trump would be walking across the park several minutes later.”
The outlet went on to report that the crowd was pushed back when officers were being hit with water bottles and that protesters had climbed onto the top of a structure at the north end of Lafayette Square that had been attacked and burned a day earlier.”
The Park Police did not immediately respond to request for comment from Fox News.
The White House cited the WTOP report to dispute earlier reports that the square was cleared for the president.
The protesters had previously been criticized by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who said they were “professional agitators.”
“They knew the street needed to be cleared before 7 pm curfew,” Rubio tweeted. “But they deliberately stayed to trigger police action & get the story they wanted, that “police attacked peaceful protesters.”
There was, however, immediate pushback to some of the claims by the Park Police. Yahoo News White House correspondent Hunter Walker, who covered the protests, said there was “an intense irritant” in the chemical used against protesters.
This Tweet from Candance Owens sums all the protest and false narratives up nicely:

May 26
Percentage of people killed by police officers annually:
Whites: 55%
Blacks: 27%
Hispanic: 16%
Can anyone provide me the name of even ONE Hispanic or white person that was killed by a police officer this year?
I get her point, but I do think the way police work has to be changed. Just like the NFL making guys tackle different I think the way police conduct their duties HAS to change regardless of what color you are.
If you ask me, it's more about getting rid of the people who are not suited for the job. The reason why this problem does not go away isn't because no one has passed the right rule or implemented the right policy - it is because the worst 1% of police officers are assholes who shouldn't have a badge. It is not because of a rule that this person was killed, it is because a shitty individual thought he was justified in doing it.
No matter what the rules are, or how much training you give - shitty people are shitty people. What this incident ought to do is make every police chief in the country say, "Do I have any people like that in my department, and is it REALLY worth the risk that they'll go off?" Nothing else is going to change anything.
See you Space Cowboy ...
Yep it reminds me of that old Sarah Silverman joke:
Of course it's just a joke but you are correct, there are a lot of cops that simply became cops because of the power and authority.
However, african americans are being killed out of proportion with their population - https://www.statista.com/statistics/...y-ethnicities/
27% of deaths and 13% of the overall population.
https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s...ables/table-43 - 27% of arrests and 27% of deaths.
Both of those numbers seem pretty far out of balance.
Then there is context of the action. In my area, the last white dude I remember the cops killed had brought a gun to his former workplace and started shooting the place up. The last black guy was high and walked into the wrong house.
The increased popularity of the Punisher skull logo and the "thin blue line" slogans are all I really need to hear to start figuring out that some police are starting every interaction with a hair-trigger attitude. Couple that with all the surplus military gear that has been shuttled to even podunk PDs -- and I don't think it is hard to start putting the puzzle pieces together.
What is the most troubling, to me, is that no one is talking about how 3 (??) other officers watched their fellow cop asphyxiate a man to death and didn't do anything. So a non-violent suspect was physically controlled and losing his life and these other dirtballs just watched a dude execute a guy? WTF?
I know man it sickening. Make the pay better, make it tougher to get hired as a police officer, have civilian review boards with subpoena power and I think we can make some progress. Also I totally agree with you about the militarization of police forces is too much. You want to have a special unit like SWAT to handle very rare situations fine. But your every day police officer should not be wearing BDU's, combat boots, and carrying multiple weapons on them.

So a store owner calls the cops on George Floyd because he has counterfeit money, and yet the fed is printing money like crazy and even adding digits to a screen thereby crushing the value of the dollar and our savings accounts - which is really worse? Too much hypocrisy out there ...

So if African Americans have to fear police, then how do they feel about other young male African Americans?

Yet not a peep from the media or the Chicago Mayor who is too busy Tweeting F YOU to our President.
Probably gang related shootings in most cases.
But, big difference is they don’t wear badges and aren’t paid to enforce the written law.
What’s your point?
Let me guess...since Afro-Americans kill other Afro-Americans we should overlook the instances when police do it unjustifiably.
I don’t get the point? The majority of violent crime is committed by people of the same group. But we never talk about “white on white” or “Asian on Asian” crime.
You don’t travel to commit crime. It’s an opportunist enterprise and therefore takes place primarily in your community where everyone looks like you. Not hard to understand.
And, despite the phenomenally stupid false equivalence between citizens killing citizens and police killing citizens, to say that “no one is talking about it” means no one you know. But tons of people are talking about it all the time.
Further, ever wonder why some areas have so much “black on black crime”? Might be because no one trusts the cops enough to call them in to help deal with the crime. That might be what happens when the cops falsely arrest, harass, and murder people who look like you on a regular basis.
True. Not many school shootings are classified as "white on white" crime. Columbine was 2 white kids shooting up a mostly white student base, but it was just called out for what it was.
Maybe the point that some are trying to make is that ………..I don't know what actual point they are trying to make, other than to deflect from the fact that police profile and wrongly kill minorities more than they do white people. A life is a life. Trying to diminish it due to race or socio-economic status is just a sad lack of humanity.
Well said.
It is kinda like how a few years ago everyone was super sure that no NFL players did anything to support communities or whatever so therefore the protests were steaming BS. Notice how in this draft broadcast it was like 3 straight days of here how this player gives back. Here is how this player and team are totally involved in the community.
I am far past being able to tolerate people making no effort to inform themselves about readily available information and then using their ignorance as proof of something.
I have hijacked this response for a rant...so I will shut up now.
Is it not a fact that more white people are killed by police every year than any other race?
https://www.statista.com/markets/411...w-enforcement/
It is a percentage of population. When you are 2/3 of the total population it is not surprising that you make up over half the deaths. When you are less than 3/20 of the population but comprise over 1/4 of the police deaths, it seems suspicious.
Plus as soon as videos emerge of white suspects being executed by the cops; it would begin to be on par.
On a lighter note, my neighbors are throwing this jam down.
