Can watch all the Australian Rules Football, English Premier League Soccer, Spanish Premier league or MLS Soccer we want, but I think the notion of 53 man rosters travelling from city to city to play other teams in the NFL is less likely to happen each day that there are 50,000 new cases a day in the US.
Yup. And since we have no unified response, but a different response at a Federal, state, and county level -- that is going to create a labyrinth of problems for the logistics of all this. What might be "open" in State A might not be possible in State B. In some states (the few that have multiple teams) what is possible in City X might not be possible in City Y.

I get why the NFL waited to make anything official and commit to specifics. But, from what I can tell, they waited until NOW to start seriously considering and planning for a 2020 season under pandemic conditions. Something, again to my limited knowledge, ZERO other professional sports leagues did. It is not really surprising, as the NFL continually demonstrates a pattern of letting the tail wag the dog and being woefully unprepared for fairly obvious contingencies.
