Will the Arizona Cardinals shift focus to Mexico City?

As Americans we don't see Mexican's playing often at the college or NFL level, however, they are excellent fans and embrace the machismo culture that football brings and can be seen playing at the high school levels.

Arizona will be playing a game in Mexico City next year. The stadium is Estadio Azteca holds about 87,000 people and is always full for games. This is a stark contrast for the regular home games in Arizona.

The Bidwell family who owns the Cardinals were never taken very seriously in NFL circles, but there is a chance for them to pick up legion of fans and make some extra money. All they have to do is play one home game in Mexico a year.

The Cardinals, contrary to some people's thoughts, do above average in attendance.

    No so Desert,

Only 4 teams drew less for homes games on average and one of them was the LA Chargers who played in a very small stadium.

Gees, look how low the Chargers are, and how high the Jets are.

It's worth mentioning that the Cardinals have the second-smallest seating capacity among teams with "real" stadiums. They're at 63,000 and are about 98% full on average. Everywhere else other than Soldier Field is 65,000 and up, with about half the teams at 70,000+ stadiums. (The Oakland Coliseum is listed at 50,000-something depending, but that's only because they would routinely tarp over about 10,000 seats that they couldn't sell. The same 10,000 seats that they ruined the stadium in order to build, and which the city is still paying off, incidentally.)

I don't think it's that the Cardinals are struggling to attract fans, although lord knows why.

Try using capacity percentage Six. It's a more valid measurement. 2019 wasn't available but here's 2018.

AZ was at 95.4% and the Steelers were at 92.8%. The year before they were at 98.8%.
