Well, this sucks. I thought the Texans believed in playing to win. Now I have another team to root against in the playoffs. If the Texans aren’t going to try and help us then I wish them nothing but pain and misery as karmic retribution.
The Titans and Bills are fun stories but they aren’t going anywhere so the only AFC team to root for is the Chiefs.
I honestly don’t know if I hate the Ravens or Pats more, so I want them both to die ugly deaths that neither franchise ever recovers from.
I’m just in kind of a rotten all around mood about this season. I was never allowed to just give up on it. I was dangled hope only to be crushed over and over again. This weekend will be more of the same. No matter how much I try not to care, I know I will.
Maybe I should just root for TJ Watt individually. If he gets a few sacks he could win DPOY.
CBS selling Gilmore as the DPOY. No way he's good but he hasn't brought his team over the top.

That’s absolutely true. I’m just not sure about what criteria makes the most sense when judging DPOY.
Are you saying that if we had the exact same defensive play, or even better from these guys, if we were also great on offense to the point where we had a 21 point cushion in every game then suddenly it disqualify our guys because they weren’t individually putting us over the top?
I think it just gets too weird when you start judging “value” that way. I’m not saying that Gilmore is or isn’t the DPOY. I’m just saying that his contributions are what they are. We don’t really know how games would go if not for him. So I say judge these guys on what they do, regardless of how the rest of their team plays.
And now I really don’t know who to root for in the Chiefs game.
If it would influence who the Texans start, then I guess I’d root for the Chargers to make the Texans game meaningful. But if it doesn’t really make a difference, then my team to root for in the playoffs is the Chiefs because they have the best chance to beat the Ravens and Patriots.
It’s a conundrum.
The Texans made this simple for us (because, the Texans are going to rest their starters no matter what).
Go Chiefs.
Go Dolphins.
If both occur, then the Chiefs get the #2 seed.
Yeah, but you never know if Texans give just a little extra if there’s something to play for. Even their back ups.
But I think Chiefs and Patriots will let it get close but both win.

If the Steelers would some how get in, I imagine we would be playing them since being the 6 seed. My evil plan is coming together so far lol.
Well, the Texans are laying down, and we can't win our game either because we don't have an offense that can score more than 10 points. It's been an entertaining season, but we just are not good enough. Thank God we picked up Minkah Fitzpatrick or we would probably be like 3-13.
