Finalists For HOF Centennial Class Include Cowher & Donnie Shell
In accordance with its principle always err on the side of excess, the NFL is inducting a HOF "Centennial Class" of 2 coaches, 3 "contributors" and 10 "seniors players" in 2020 in addition to the regular class of inductees that presumably should include Troy. Nominees include Cowher and Donnie Shell.

IMO Cowher will not make the cut but this probably is Donnie Shell's best shot since 50% of the seniors players nominated will be inducted.
Too bad LC Greenwood was not included - LC was overshadowed by Mean Joe, but after Greene hurt his shoulder in 1975 LC was the more productive player on 3 out of the 4 Super Bowl teams.
Old timers on the board may recall Buddy Parker, who was the Steelers coach after Parker won two championships with the Lions in the early 1950s.. Parker kept trading away high draft picks while running the Steelers - when Dan Rooney took over from the Chief his bad memories of how that turned out was a big reason the Steelers never traded away a first round pick from Noll's arrival until the Minkah trade.
Ed Bouchette certainly remembered Parker last September

Jimmy Johnson is a shoe in and Cowher would have to beat out all those other coaches. I don't see that happening.
