Wonder what is behind this move? Maybe run blocking? https://www.pff.com/news/draft-pff-s...oh-wr-michigan

SUPERBOWL!
Jones hasn't really done much, so they'd seen enough, is my guess. They're clearly just cycling guys through the last couple roster spots, hoping to find someone who shows enough flashes to compete for a spot in the rotation next year. Maybe that determines whether WR is a high priority in draft/FA season, or just a what-the-hell pick if we find someone we have faith in.
See you Space Cowboy ...
Darboh is a big body WR that made the tough catches in traffic in college. I like the Brandon LaFell comparison as he is a guy that has buildup speed (lacks suddeness, but has glide) and from what I recall, he would contest for catches. Gonna drop some now and then, but also gonna use his big frame to sheild away defenders and make one or 2 of them back.
Leg and Clavicile injuries derailed him in Seattle. If he can stay healthy I think he can maybe be WR#4 behind JuJu, Washington, Johnson. Apparently looked good in OTA's for Seattle this season, until......he got hurt again.

That was Johnson's forte in college. Basketball background and lateral movement lead to him getting great releases on CB's. Not elite vertical speed, but release against press and good breaks will get him separation. The kid needs to learn to protect the football.
