Browns make playoffs with 8-8 record if they tie with Steelers, Raiders and Titans at 8-8 according to playoff machine

    True.

But, a win tonight gives the Steelers 9 wins...

Agreed - Bills apparently make playoffs at 10-6 and they should beat Jets, so realistically it is Titans and Steelers scrapping for last wildcard

Re: For Whom to Root (Week 15)

The Steelers have NO CHANCE at the #5 seed. Ergo, I’m all in on the Bills winning the AFC East. I was leaning that direction anyway, but now it’s official.

Obviously, the odds are extremely slim that the Taperiots will lose their next two games... but... at least I’ll have a rooting interest in a few (other) games the next couple of weekends.

    Week 16:
Bills @ Taperiots Duh... GO BILLS!!!

    Week 17:
Jets @ Bills Obviously, Go Bills!!!
Dolphins @ Taperiots Again, obviously, Go Dolphins!!!

    Weirder things have happened.

To bad the Pats aren't at Miami cause they have a hard time winning there.

Even if the pats won't lose to Miami, them losing to the Bills will still be great. They'd possibly lose the 1st round bye and get dropped to a 3 seed, since KC has the head to head over them. I'm cheering for a Bills win next week and KC to win out. I admit though it's easier for me to root for KC since they're my brother's team. It's another team in the playoffs to cheer for if my team is knocked out

If the Pats end up being the 3 and we make it in as the 6. First week of the playoffs we would be playing the Pats at their house ? Would love a chance to knock them off at their home and think we match up well with them cause of our D! That is motivation right there to make the playoffs! So go Bills and KC!

I just noticed how formal the title of this thread sounds; "For Whom to Root". How's about "Hooyinz shoodbee rootinfer"?
"You've heard people brag about 'being in the zone'. They don't know what the Hell being in the zone is about. I played in the NFL for 15 years and I was only in the zone that one time." - "Mean" Joe Greene on the 1974 playoff victory over Oakland

Now, THAT’s a WC match-up I would not miss! Not sure how well Duck (you do know if the Ravens had a QB named ‘Duck’ you’d be crucifying him, right? ) or Rudolph would fare against the Pat’s D, but I think the Steelers D would do a bang-up job against New England at this point in time. It would be a great game to watch for sure.

It’s also in the Steelers’ interest for the Pats to lose. It will give Baltimore the one seed whether they beat the Browns or not. And obviously that means the Ravens might sit LJ against us.

I think we’ll all end up rooting for KC in the playoffs. We obviously will be rooting against the Pats and Ravens.

So, help me Obi Wan Ma- homey... you’re my only hope.

Yea hope your team gets the 1 seed this week and rest your players so we make it lol. I seriously think the Steelers D would give Brady fits! Regardless of who is the Steelers QB if they can score 17 they win that game.

True. It helps the Steelers AND it knocks the Taperiots down in the seeding.
