The Steelers can secure a playoff spot by beating the Bills and then beating the Jets. A third win (against the Ravens) gets the Steelers the #5 seed. The Steelers control their own destiny (for the Wild Card seeds).

Depending on what the Bills do in Week 16, the Steelers “could” have the #5 seed locked up by the time that the Ravens game comes around.

Of course, “just in case”...

For those of us who watch other games and are wondering “For whom should I be rooting?”, here are the teams for whom to root. (NOTE: The games are listed in order by the current seeding behind us in the Wild Card race: Titans, Browns, Raiders, Colts, Broncos).

Texans @ Titans One of them has to win the division. Since the Texans already beat the Taperiots, they could possibly still steal away the #3 seed. Plus, the Titans play the Saints and also play the Texans twice; those three losses would help eliminate the Titans. So... Go Texans.

Browns @ Cardinals Go Cards. Duh.

Jaguars @ Raiders Go Jaguars!!! The Raiders have back-to-back cakewalk games (Jaguars, Chargers); ergo it should be easy to root for those two opponents, because they have been eliminated from the playoffs.

Colts @ Saints Go Saints!!! Duh.

Broncos @ Chiefs Someone has to win that division. Since the Chiefs already beat the Taperiots, they could possibly still steal away the #3 seed. Go Chiefs.

Taperiots @ Bengals Duh!!! GO BENGALS!!!

Jets @ Ravens I’m not going to say that I’m rooting for the Ravens. I’m not. Buuuut, I’d prefer that they get the #1 seed over the Taperiots. Go...

(The rest of the games don’t really matter.)
