I am a bit concerned that even in situations like this, our QB literally WILL not throw the ball more than 5 yards downfield.

Nice!!!

Really? I think the Colts have been stronger by a little bit, but breaks have been huge in this game.
The Colt's got a dropped pass for an interception that gave them a field goal. A Steelers run that was a TD was ruled knee down, costing the Steelers 4 points. They fumbled a kickoff return that they were lucky to get back. They fumbled a ball out of bounds at the 1 yard line. If it went into the endzone they would have one less TD. They got a bullshit roughing the passer penalty that helped them get another touchdown.
I mean, let's not get crazy here. This game would look a lot different if the things I just listed went the other way.

Fire Boz!
Wow!
Where was this guy last year?
We would have won the Super Bowl
To think, some wanted Boswell cut. He is one of the few consistent players on this team.
16-13 Bloodclots at the break.
Despite playing like dogshit (outside of Minkah), the Steelers are not out of it.
Try as we might, we just couldn't avoid getting into field goal range on that drive.
See you Space Cowboy ...
We need to blitz more. Have to get pressure on the QB. Got to make stops in the 2nd half or were finished.
we’re missing Tuitt for sure
See you Space Cowboy ...
Next level play calling by Fichtner to call the personal foul with time expired to end the half
You’re absolutely right. A few little things going wrong... and bad calls by refs have contributed.
At the same time our defense simply can not let a team like the Colts march down the field on us at will with a third string QB.
If we can’t win a game where Mason is playing well then we’re simply fucked. We have no margin for error this season yet we keep making them.
Use Trey Edmunds, Samuels going nowhere

Rudolph isn't playing badly. I thought he played well. I like the way he is keeping his eyes down the field even with heavy pressure. He had some guys drop passes. He also had Washington bail him out with great catches.
They are getting beaten at the LOS. This is the game I knew they would really miss Tuitt.
They're only down 3. They need to make some adjustments and try to make good situational play calls on offense to extend drives and score points, and on defense they need to dial up some timely blitzes in big spots to stuff the run or get to the QB.
The game is anyone's to win at this point.
"You've heard people brag about 'being in the zone'. They don't know what the Hell being in the zone is about. I played in the NFL for 15 years and I was only in the zone that one time." - "Mean" Joe Greene on the 1974 playoff victory over Oakland
Rudolph 17of20 119yards 1INT.
Steelers 67yards rushing in the 1st half.
Defense has given up 2TDs, gotten 1Sack and 1Pick6
Not a terrible half vs a good Colts team. Nothing great or spectacular. Rudolph is going to need to pick up his game and the defense is going to have to get more pressure on Hoyer/Brissett if he comes back.

This team has sucked at tackling for the better part of 10 seasons now
What coach has VW on the sidelines for forth and two while Barron whiffs? Seriously WTF

Big drive for the Defense here. Hoyer has been doing whatever he wants.
The Steelers will need rare splash plays. Tomlin's Steelers aren't going to win on fundamentals.
