Cool. Teams have finally figured out how to shed disastrous contracts - pay a crappy team with cap space a draft pick to take the mess off your books.

Look for the league to outlaw this as soon as possible. But not until the Patriots use it to accumulate 110 draft picks.

Rams trade another draft pick to free up cap space to cover the Goff and Gurley contracts along with the long term Ramsey contract they did not have worked out when they traded two first round picks to get him - brilliant!

I suppose that could all work out

Rams are going to be restructuring contracts along with carrying a lot of vet minimum players on their 2020-21 rosters

A lot of “asking price was too high” comments in regards to Anderson, Adams, Bell, Williams, Green, Harris...

I think the Jalen Ramsey deal pretty much nullified anything else that may have went down today. No reason the Jets shouldn’t be asking for something similar (maybe a little less than) to what the Jags received for Ramsey.

There was a bit of that combined with the franchises with the best assets to move (Redskins and Jets) are totally inept and barely functional. The Jets were apparently asking for the moon and the stars for any of their players - including the ones with ridiculous contracts (Bell and Mosley). While the 'Skins are basically refusing to move their LT because they want to look tough.

Can not make many deals when half the negotiations are run by morons.

    True.

The one I really don’t get is the Bengals not moving AJ Green. He’s potentially gone next season and they’ll most likely get a 2021 compensatory pick. They could’ve easily upgraded that pick to a second round pick and additional picks. Say they want to keep him and re-sign him long term...does that really benefit them if they are looking to move in from Dalton and go full fledged rebuild/younger mode? Makes no sense...but then falls under your theory of the organizations being run by morons.

If I’m the Eagles, another loser on the day, I’m giving up some nice compensation if I have the chance to get Slay.

    Agreed.

Bengals should've traded everyone they got even a mediocre offer for.
