Who Are the Available Backup QBs

Who's out there that the Steelers can sign for QB2? Landry Jones is under XFL contract, so rule him out. Who is on the outside looking in after all the cuts? Preferably a veteran. I don't think Hodges is ready for #2.

It isn't pretty. But that list does not count guys who were not under contract last year. So maybe there are several more options on some deep call sheet somewhere?

I like what I seen with Hodges and face it if Rudolph goes down this season really is done. Also like my chances with Hodges over the bums mention that are available. We know what they are.

They have them...no need for another at the moment. Rudolph and Hodges are it. This team doesn’t need to mismanage the roster any further than it already has. Signing a third QB to do nothing is just taking away from a positional need.

If anything happens to Rudolph, it doesn't really matter whether it's Hodges or someone else, the offense is going to play like shit, and we have to face the fact that it is just not our year.

We do need someone just so we have enough players in case of such an emergency. I guess I'd prefer someone younger who might have the potential to surprise us and do ok. Is Paxton Lynch, like ... SO bad that he can't play QB at all? Or just not starter material but might have a good game here and there.

Is there some particular fatal flaw about Lynch that makes people laugh when his name is brought up? Or did he just kind of look ... not so good. Serious question, I never actually saw him play, so I don't know.
