Hyde is flat out terrible. Guy had a prime situation in San Fran, couldn’t capitalize on it. Had a PERFECT situation in Cleveland. Couldn’t capitalize on it. Had a good situation in Jacksonville. Couldn’t capitalize on it and now had an opportunity in KC under Andy Reid and couldn’t do anything there? He’s not good. I’d actually be very disappointed if they signed Hyde. I’d take Yeldon though.

Agree...This is not like that our special team are great with him and that this unit will be much worse if this player is cut...Easier to learn how to play well as a special team than to the others unit...

Ridley or Hyde? I’ll stay with Snell if that’s my choice.

    Steven Ridley or Carlos Hyde?
I’d roll the dice on McCoy before either of those two.

Same thing for me, but I do not think McCoy will be interested in signing with us, even if he played his college in Pittsburgh because this not guaranteed that the steelers will use him a lot if we look at the history of Tomlin with his backup RB!

I think McCoy is going to sign with a true contender ... Maybe with the Chiefs and his former HC Andy Reid or his former team (eagles)

deep offensive line? our 2nd half o-line was a train wreck, not what i'd call deep

2nd half they were playing guys that will all be getting cut today. The Steelers do have deep O line talent, with Chuks, Finney, Johnson, Banner as the reserves.

Plus, duck dynasty wasn't exactly making any kind of decent reads and getting the football out to WR's that will also be waived today. If you are judging play in the 2nd half of game 4 in the NFL preseason, you are judging guys that will be working at Footlocker next week.

I was wondering if people were gonna suggest Shady. I don’t think it’s an objectively bad idea, I just think it’s not something the Steelers will consider. Pretty sure they’ll roll with their draft pick as the #3 RB at this point. Shady will be more expensive and the Steelers aren’t in the market for spending money at the #3 spot.

Some team other team will pay Shady as their #2.

Steelers' final 53-man roster could include a new backup safety if they find one they like on waiver wire.

I agree but if they are going after Hyde or Yeldon (if he’s released?), I’d rather see them go after McCoy. Much to my disapproval, I think they keep Snell because of where they drafted him...

    Re: Preseason Finale and cuts/options

Among the cuts are two 2019 draft picks, sixth rounder Sutton Smith and seventh rounder Derwin Grey, as well as Marcus Allen, a fifth-round pick in 2018. The team also released veteran receiver Eli Rogers.

On offense the team released quarterback Devlin Hodges, running backs Trey Edmunds, Travon McMillian and Malik Williams, receivers Trey Griffey, Johnny Holton, Tevin Jones, Brandon Reilly, Eli Rogers and Diontae Spencer, and tight ends Micky Crum, Kevin Rader, Christian Scotland-Williamson and Trevor Wood. On the offensive line Garrett Brumfield, Derwin Gray, J.C. Hassanauer, Patrick Morris and Damian Prince were released.

Defensively the team let go of defensive backs Marcus Allen, Dravon Askew-Henry, Marcelis Branch, Jhvonte Dean, P.J. Locke and Trevon Mathis, linebackers Jayrone Elliott, Christian Kuntz, Tegray Scales, Sutton Smith and Robert Spillane, and defensive linemen Winston Craig, Greg Gilmore, Henry Mondeaux, Casey Sayles and Conor Sheehy.

In the battle for kicker and punter, the incumbents won out, with Matthew Wright and Ian Berryman both being released.

Looks like they went light at WR to keep all the LBs?

I remember quite a few posters wanted to draft Noah Spence in the first round...

Surprising move by the #Bucs as they are waiving starting OLB and former 2nd round pick Noah Spence. With JPP out for at least 6 weeks, look for Tampa to add to edge depth.
