Tomlin said yesterday that more starters will play against the chiefs ... The only player who is healthy we know he will not play is Roethlisberger, since Rudolph is going to be our starter.
So what do you want to see for this game? ... It can be individual or as a team

• Washington continue solid play
• Bush - Was Game one outstanding or just Devin Bush?
• O-Line improve
• Mason Rudolph with better talent surrounding him
• More Ryan Switzer
• Ola continue to grow
• Grant take a step forward

Three things fans should pay attention to in the NFL preseason

What should the fans look for?
1) How do your team's starters play vs. other teams' starters? In 1982, the Redskins went 0-4 in the preseason, but our starters played extremely well when on the field. Our team was either tied or ahead each time our starters left the game. We went on to win the Super Bowl that season.
2) Progress of second-year players. In Year 2, players should have a good understanding of the system. High draft picks should be solidifying starting positions -- if they haven't already done so. Unproven players must continue to earn roster spots and, beyond that, meaningful playing time.
3) Position battles. Position battles can be dramatic, but they aren't always a bad thing. Ideally, they stem from an abundance of depth at a certain position -- this is a good problem to have! Unfortunately, it can also be the case that no one has done enough to earn the starting spot -- this is not the most ideal scenario. Either way, watching and learning about particular players and positions, especially those highlighted in the press, might help you further understand why certain coaching decisions are made.
DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO: preseason records. Don't get too high or too low about the final record. This period is primarily used for training and player evaluations. Records aren't important until September. It's fair to expect one "bad" game during this time because there tends to be a lot more distractions surrounding the team .
A new attitude and sense of urgency WILL come with the end of the preseason. It makes no difference whether your team is a contender or rebuilding. Once that 53-man roster is set, winning is the only thing that matters.

i personally can't wait till game 3, i want to see what our starting roster has. I kind of don't like how our starters won't even be playing in game 2 (namely ben)
While I understand that Ben is a 10+ year veteran that doesn't need the reps, there are some new pieces on the offense that could benefit from the reps with ben at QB

I do not know how many drive that Mahomes will play tomorrow, but I would like to see the chiefs offense with Mahomes at least a few times in a 3rd down situation....
Last year in week 2, Mahomes had 6 TD passes and 5 3rd down attempts in the entire game!!!! ... I've never seen a stats like that in my life in a football game (To see a team with more than offensive TD than 3rd down attempts in the entire game!!!)
Of course Mahomes was amazing last year and he has an incredible future ahead of him, but the game against the steelers last year is probably going to be his easiest game of his life, since so many time at least 2 or 3 receivers (I include their RB and Kelce in that) were WIDE OPEN in a pass play.It was like a warmup without a defense in front of you!
I just want to post that the Chiefs are going to be incredible this season. Adding Mecole Hardman via draft gives them another Tyreek Hill, while still having Tyreek Hill.
Mahomes will be one of the greatest ever when it's all set and done.

Possible and I just hope that Mahomes will have a better defense than Marino had for most of his career (especially in his prime) ... I think Marino was better than Joe Montana, but Montana was in a better position, but that is another story
For Mahomes, hopefully that the chiefs will have a better defense, since he lost a game last year with 51 points scored .... Another with 40 points! ... But I think the Chiefs would have won the Super Bowl if they would only have won the coin toss in the overtime in the AFC title game.
I still believe that Andy Reid will win a super bowl with Mahomes .... Reid just needs a bit of luck on his side and he will finally get his ring otherwise he will probably be the most unlucky HC in NFL history, outside of Marty Schottenheimer (a former HC of the chiefs, by the way)who could ever have a break in his life in the playoffs

As far as players go...
Turk: I want to see if he can play as well as he did last week... but, only for a quarter and/or once he’s racked up a dozen tackles.
Rudolph: obvious reasons
Secondary: is it just vanilla playcalls?... because, they have some talent in that group. I’d like to see Kam Kelly push Mike Hilton as the primary backup at FS. Likewise, I’d like to see Cam Sutton supplant Mike Hilton as the nickel. To be clear: I love Mike Hilton; he’s a stud. So, what I want is for Kelly & Sutton to play “even better” than that.
I want to see Benny Snell much better...
Agreed in terms of running the football but he impressed as a pass blocker and also on special teams.

I liked that the steelers challenged the WR of the chiefs, even in the 2 drives that Mahomes was on the field
That's what you have to do and in preseason it's important to see how good are your corners...
