POLL: Which player are you most excited to see (vs. Tampa)?

There are a lot of new faces. Who are you most excited to see play (and/or upon who will you be most focused) in the first preseason game?

    Maybe it’s a rookie.
    Maybe it’s a new addition.
    Maybe it’s an up-&-comer.
Maybe it’s a player on the comeback.
Maybe it’s the rapport between a couple of vets.

I'm excited to see Devin Bush ... and I can not wait to see how our wide receiver (like Washington, Spencer, Johnson) will play ... But I think our best rookie tomorrow is going to be Benny Snell!

Re: POLL: Which player are you most excited to see (vs. Tampa)?

There is a lot for me tbh. I'll just name a few players that are not very known.

Like most of the fans, I want to see the young LB's in Ola, Bush and Gilbert. I really like Gilbert the 6th round pick rookie out of Akron. Not a big guy but he's very athletic and has a nose for the football. I can see him being a starter in the league if he puts the work in.

Kameron Kelly, free safety. He's been getting a lot of 1st team reps due to Davis being out and he's been very impressive showing his elite ball skills that he showed in college and during his short time in the AFF.

Fred Johnson a rookie UDFA out of Florida is a big 6'7" guard whom has long arms and athleticism has been getting a bit of praise during camp. I believe he has a good shot at making the 53 as the 9th OL if he continues to play well.

TE's: Will someone step up for the #3 spot?

I voted for Johnson but Snells should be on the list. Also you can remove Burns.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the Spencer kid.

Or JuJu since he has nothing to prove in the preseason (I would not play JuJu tomorrow if I'm Tomlin) ... Burns has something to prove if he wants to keep his job and stay in the NFL.

Agree about JuJu and only one series if all. Watching Burns is like watching the kid shoot Old Yeller.

Also I predict that Spencer is going to make one or two big plays this PS. He has game breaking speed.

True. I should have put more names... specifically, Snell & Spencer.

IMO, Burns has a LOT to prove. I’m very interested in how he performs after a few weeks with a Teryl Austin.

Agreed. JuJu has nothing to “prove”, but I’m interested in seeing the Ben-to-JuJu connection that has been “amazing” (according to reports).

    I sgree 100% about Burns.

Boz also has a lot to prove and should make the list if Burns is on there. At least Boz was actually good at one time. That said rooting for Burns just not excited to watch him.

Re: POLL: Which player are you most excited to see (vs. Tampa)?

Here is upon whom I will be focusing (and the reasons why).

    JuJu
The reports are that he’s simply “on another level”, and I am excited to see it.

    Olaqwerty
He’s been good... in practice. I’d like to see if it translates to games.

    Bush
Duh. We need him to be good.

    Diontae Johnson
Was he worth the pick? People hated this pick; so, his play will be highly scrutinized.

    Kam Kelly
Go Aztecs!!! Oh, and he’s this year’s Mike Hilton (a DB who comes out of nowhere to improve the secondary).

    Cam Sutton
When he was drafted, I called him “steal” of the entire draft. Lofty praise... and, while he likely won’t be that good, I think he makes a huge leap this season.

    Burns
Him returning to his rookie form would give us quite a bit of depth at CB.

    Boswell
Our season could very well come down to his leg.

    Gravedigger
Supposedly, He’s made another leap (as he did between the prior two seasons). At the end of last season, when he was on the field, our pressures were significantly higher... ergo, he’s getting more snaps this season.

    Feiler
I loved Marcus Gilbert... but, the guy didn’t really play for two seasons. I’d love to have our RT position locked up for the next decade.

For Diontae Johnson, his reports are positive ... It was difficult for him is his first two days in the training camp, but it was without the pads and since the steelers practice with the Pads, his reports are very positive ... His route running is his biggest strength.

I do not know how he will perform in his rookie season, since he needs more muscle, but he could still contribute this year and be much better next year ... We will see.

I went for Johnson too. I know Bushis going to be a superstar, but Johnson has a lot of talent in front of him, and Washington is coming along nicely......Side note....could you imagine Shazier and Bush together?
