How does a player that wasn't even voted to 2nd team all-pro a single time in his career consider himself a 'great' running back?
Some media will say that if the Chargers struggle it's going to be because the chargers did not want to pay Gordon (even if they offered 10 million per year), even if they have several other problems and differences with last year
Same thing with the steelers without Bell ... The media ignore that the steelers also had Ryan Shazier in 2017 and Boswell was clutch in 2017 (a big reason why the steelers had been 8-2 in one score game) and awful in the clutch in 2018.
Who'll prove doubters wrong in 2019?
Melvin Gordon, running back, Los Angeles Chargers: The most disrespected running back in football has heard all the shots lobbed in his direction. Yes, Philip Rivers recently voiced his support for the 26-year-old back, but the QB's initial comments back in July -- "We love Melvin, but we're going to go with what we've got. It's a pretty dang good group." -- made Gordon get mad online. The two-time Pro Bowler will eventually enjoy the last laugh when opponents change their defensive approach with Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson on the field extensively. Yes, I know the Chargers went 4-0 in games Gordon missed last season, but don't let that mask the difference between Gordon and his understudies. The former first-round pick is the only NFL running back with at least 10 scrimmage touchdowns in each of the past three seasons. He has also surpassed 1,300 scrimmage yards in each of those years. The Chargers can win some games without No. 28 on the field, but they won't contend for a title without the versatile running back playing a leading role.

Yeah, it's a good team, but if this defense can't play man to man defense and play the zone against QBs like Brady as they do in the playoffs last January, they have no chance....
Also, the other major problem of the Chargers, they have no homefield advantage!
Hard to win, when every game is like a road games!
lol. So now Gordon, who I believe, only played one full season healthy and even that had only 1100+ yards rushing is going to sit out an entire year because he thinks he’s worth more than $10M/year? This guy may make Bell’s decision look remarkably good!
In an unrelated story Melvin Gordon just bought $300,000 worth of slightly used jewelry from 2 of Le'Veon Bell's ex-girlfriends.
Who want to give a first round pick and paid Gordon way over 10 millions per year?
If he wants out of town he should start acting like AB not Bell.
Guess Gordon has some bills to pay
lol we all saw this coming. "Good" players don't have the Le'Veon Bell leverage, that's reserved for players that are top 3 at their position. And he ain't it.
