After not getting invited to the scouting combine this year, Locke measured in at his pro day at 5102, 202-pounds with 31-inch arms and 9 3/8-inch hands. He ran his 40-yard dash in 4.57-seconds at his pro day in addition to doing 22 reps on the bench and registering a vertical jump of 36-inches and a broad jump of 10’00”. His short-shuttle time was 4.26-seconds and his 3-cone time was 7.13-seconds
The same might apply to Locke, who showed strong punch at nickel last season and said he molds his game after former Texas standout Quandre Diggs. Locke also tested well, putting up 22 reps on the bench press and posting an official 36.5-inch vertical after a 39-inch effort was disqualified. He ran well, too, with times ranging from the high 4.3s to the low 4.5s. Whether he can sneak into the back round of the draft remains an open question, but he’s received positive feedback about his versatility, so that will help his cause.
Watching some of the highlights from the Depot, this kid brings the ass. Don’t know how much you want to buy into pro days, but the kid looks the part.
Was just going to say similar to above. He really brings it. Out of all the UDFAs, he looks like he could stick...no pun intended.
