Buckley: Let’s rank all 30 of Tom Brady’s postseason victories
By Steve Buckley Feb 11, 2019 24
It must be tough for followers of such NFL quarterbacking greats as Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw and Peyton Manning to rank their teams’ playoff victories.
For followers of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, it’s nearly impossible.
It’s a numbers thing: Brady has won a whopping 30 playoff games in his career, as compared to 16 for Montana, 14 apiece for Bradshaw, Manning and John Elway, and 13 for Ben Roethlisberger and Brett Favre. (We’re talking the Super Bowl era, of course.)
How, then, does one rank the Patriots’ 30 playoff victories with Brady as the starting quarterback in such a way as to make everyone happy? You can’t. You just can’t. Beyond some obvious top choices and a couple of early tourney victories that didn’t exactly inspire people to dance up Route 1, everything in between is guaranteed to cause an argument. (As if to prove my point, I’ve already had one argument with my editor about this.)
Anyway, here’s how I rank...
