Antonio Brown uses Twitter as a weapon against Ben Roethlisberger

Posted by Mike Florio on February 15, 2019

It may not have escalated quickly, but it definitely has escalated.

Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, whose primary beef in Pittsburgh seems to be directed at quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, has weaponized Brown’s Twitter account. Although Brown has said nothing about Roethlisberger on the official @AB84 account (yet), Brown has used the “like” button in a way that Ben surely won’t like.

At the top of Brown’s “likes” are a pair of tweets posted by the account named @KIP_Music. Both tweets refer to the past allegations of sexual assault against Roethlisberger.

Grow the fuck up AB. Let him rot in football purgatory like Bell did until some team gets desperate for a receiver and is willing to part with a 1st to get AB

Or a team that puts the cart before the horse and overpays for premium WR talent when it has a bunch of suck under center (Arizona)...

    ya know ....

I wonder if the NY football Giants would be interested ...

Put AB across from OBJ ( AB would have a meltdown ) and with a QB unable to get the ball out in Eli ... this might be the perfect revenge for the Steelers Brass ....
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now

He hasn't tried sneaking back on here in a while now. I guess now that Haley's gone, there's no point. Railing against all things Haley (in his words Chubbs Peterson) was his entire post content.

AB has to make it this way to get traded. Don't you see, he's playing all of you. This is just an act to fire up the social media generation. It's not what the Steelers do. AB has 3 more years with the Steelers. Unless the value is matched, he stays.

So... Sports journalism these days is just repeating what people like/ share/ post on Twitter. Sounds like an easy job...

"I follow people on Twitter and when they tweet something, I tell everyone what they said"
"So... this 'following', it's a special skill?"
"Well, no. Anyone can follow somebody on Twitter. I tell people what they said and what it means."
"So let me get this straight: You monitor these accounts, and then..."
"No. When you follow someone, you automatically get a notification."
"So if people follow somebody on Twitter, they won't know what they said? "
"Oh, Well... No. They'd know what they said."
    (crickets)
"So I gotta ask: If people are interested in these tweets, why couldn't they just follow themselves?"
(Florio starts getting flustered and angry)
"Because then people who aren't following wouldn't know about it!"

"You've heard people brag about 'being in the zone'. They don't know what the Hell being in the zone is about. I played in the NFL for 15 years and I was only in the zone that one time." - "Mean" Joe Greene on the 1974 playoff victory over Oakland

Sounds about right. The internet gave a megaphone to stupid. At first we were all like "Haha! Look at stupid! It's so loud and thinks anyone cares!". Then we all got overwhelmed with the sheer amount and volume of media from every angle, all day, every day. At some point we all just figured "Screw it! This is too hard. I'll just listen to whoever is loudest or has the most followers.". We all totally forget to apply any critical thinking or context to any of this.

Wow this is getting pretty bad, you don't fire shots at your QB. Is there any going back from this?

He does realize that doing crap like this hurts your trade value, which is detrimental to his goal of wanting to get traded, right?

Crash guaranteed we would win the Super Bowl if we only let Ben pass more. we had 345 rushes compared to 689 passing attempts last season, Crash couldn't be wrong could he?

I see Antonio Brown still mad because Ben Roethlisberger made the offense run a play again after someone we know ran the wrong route in walk-thru practice. Yeah, shameful. How dare he.

Please don't mention that whack job. Seemed like every time he was mentioned here , he came back. Really was an energy draining poster that made every board he posted on a crappy place.

Yeah, but didn't the QB fire shots at his WR's? Double standard....which is pretty much what started this entire situation anyways. Either way, in 5 years I will still be a Steeler fan and both of these clowns will likely be retired.
