    Gronk got bonked.

Rob Gronkowski, the New England Patriots’ star tight end, says he got hit in the face by a can of beer thrown during Tuesday’s Super Bowl victory parade in Boston.

Gronkowski told “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” the can drew blood, and he showed Fallon the small cut it left near one of his eyebrows.........

How do you know it was a Boston fan? Probably a Yankee fan:

Yankees fan throws beer can at Red Sox closer

    Craig KimbrelTBS

It took longer than he would have liked, but Craig Kimbrel ultimately got the last laugh on a beer-throwing Yankees fan.
As the Red Sox closer was walking to the bullpen door to go pitch the ninth inning Tuesday night, television cameras caught a beer can being thrown behind Kimbrel. He didn’t seem to have noticed, but the police officer escorting him out was looking into the stands and put his hand behind Kimbrel in an attempt to move him out of harm’s way.
It took the righty 28 pitches to seven batters, but he eventually closed out the Red Sox’4-3 series clinching win in Game 4 of the ALDS at Yankee Stadium. Kimbrel allowed two runs in the inning before getting Gleyber Torres to ground out to end it as the Red Sox advance to face the Astros in the ALCS.

Transplants to the greater Boston area have a name for the local fans.

Boston fans... Yankees fans... bwahahaha!!! They pale in comparison to Raidahs fans.

I have seen two carloads of Raidahs fans jump out of their cars and get into a fight. On the freeway. With other Raidahs fans.

A group of Raidahs fans spit beer and threw beer cans at an opposing team’s cheerleaders... junior cheerleaders... four-year-old junior cheerleaders.

I am not exaggerating, not embellishing, not stretching the truth. I saw those two events unfold exactly as described. As steelreserve can attest to, it is sort of like the Federal prisons have a “weekend release” program whenever the Raidahs play.

Going in you know what Raiders fans are - they're just mean and nasty...they are gangster types. Patriots fans are assholes...or MASSholes as someone posted...that's worse. They are the type who will throw something at you and you can go up and knock them the fuck out in one punch. You can't do that to a Raiders fan. Raiders fans have credibility. Patriots fans do not. lol.

Where do you come up with these broad sweeping unfounded generalizations?

These are the best cities for sports fans

    .............................snip................. ..............

Wallethub found that the best sports city for fans for 2018 was Boston Massachusetts, boosted by its top ranking for the best city for hockey, its second-place ranking for basketball and its fourth-place ranking for football. The second best city for sports fans, according to Wallethub's report, is Los Angeles, California, which snagged first place for basketball and soccer. Coming in third is New York, New York, with a No. 1 ranking in baseball.
These are the top 10 sports cities for sports fans, according to Wallethub:

    1. Boston, Massachusetts
    2. Los Angeles, California
    3. New York, New York
    4. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
    5. Chicago, Illinois
    6. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
    7. Washington, D.C.
    8. Atlanta, Georgia
    9. Oakland, California
    10. Dallas, Texas
Meanwhile, the worst cities for sports, according to the report, are Salt Lake City, Utah; Tampa, Florida; and San Antonio, Texas in descending order. You can find Wallethub's full report and methodology here.

Cities With the Best Sports Fans

    The Top Ten

    Boston No. 1

Boston has an amazing history of sports that is entirely ingrained in the culture. In no other city will you see about such a widespread support of a team in the off season. You can hear a Yankees Suck chant break out in the middle of a Celtics game. For proof, just look at the costuming of The Departed. If anything, the amount of Red Sox hats in a given room is an underestimate.

Boston has true fans as do Chicago too. Whenever the Celtics play the Bulls it is an intense rivalry however it is respected. Saying they are true fans brings me to mention New York. Too many band-wagon fans that know nothing about the Yankees but still represent the team by wearing their hat. If you hate New England Fans, think first; in baseball, we hate the Yankees; in basketball we hate the Lakers (and Heat cause of Ray... Smh); in hockey we hate the Canadians; and in football... Well we don't like many teams but mostly the Giants.

Boston fans are the best and the worst. I am a Boston sports fan and I admit we are a little spoiled. When the patriots lost to the dolphins we were all saying, " they suck." We are so used to our teams winning that it has spoiled us, but has also made us obsessed with them winning, which makes us the best fans.

Here's what sucks for us "old" Raiders fans...... The Raiders used to be a working class team, just like your Steelers. The gang, mean and nasty shit started after the move to LA.

I've talked with many old time Raiders fans that remember drinking in the bars with the players, and some even worked a normal job with them. Shaking the "gang" shit has proven hard to do. I hope the move to Vegas gets rid of it. we'll see.

Back in high school, my best friend’s uncle was an Oakland Raiders fan... and, he stressed the word OAKLAND (even though the team had moved to Los Angeles). He & I would make friendly bets whenever the Steelers would play the Raiders. He even bought me an OAKLAND Raiders hat, which I occasionally wore (mostly because N.W.A was extremely popular).

In short, it was a very friendly rivalry.

But, when I suggested that he & I travel up to The Coliseum to watch a Steelers-Raiders game, he was like: “NO WAY!!!” His rationale was the even he (a Raiders fan) didn’t feel safe attending a Raiders game.

So, Yes, there are indeed very, very good Raiders fans.

Too bad and unfortuneately that wasn't uncommon in many cities. I wouldn't take my wife or children to a Patriots game in the mid 70s. Drunks in the parking lot urinating out in the open, fights in the stands, and so forth.
