Goodell is the Godfather, the owners are the 32 families. Rotten to the core.
The ref is who screwed them not Goodell... blame Goodell for his screwups but not others. Besides, they should've taken care of business and accept it like men.
In other words......... cry me a river.
"Accountability is what makes the league great"???? Was he asleep during Spygate?

Yeah I get what you are saying and mostly agree with it especially the part of them taking care of business. If they run on 1st through 3rd down they run most of the clock and hopefully that is enough end of story.
The part about godell is he could have done something about that crew a looooong time before they got to the playoffs. That crew never should have been in the playoffs after the way they officiated our game with the chargers. In that game alone they missed 2 blatant calls with the false start and the block in the back and then excused the long snapper of moving the ball pre-snap by saying "he's done it his whole career we're not going to start calling it now."
I remember earlier this year a ref was fired for not making a false start call against the chargers that lead to a touchdown. I knew then it was just for show and wouldn't lead to anything else and it didn't. Go to hell is not free from blame in this entire debacle.
Goofdell should’ve come out by now and addressed it. Whether he says they ducked up or thought it was the right call or whatever, it’s a HUGE controversy that should be addressed by the commissioner. Watson is well respected by players, teams, coaches and owners around the league. For him to come out and call Goofdell out like that, it means something.
That was a horrible call, and Goodell needs to address NFL officiating in general which has bordered on being a joke

Saints fans taking the whining to a whole new level of stupid. Bad calls happen all the time. Saints benefited from several bad calls to even get home field advantage.
This makes seahag fans look good

Am I supposed to feel sorry for the Saints/fans???
Goodell's problem is NFL officiating has been a joke a long time now, throughout the decade at minimum and yet all Goodell has ever done is fire one officiating crew. Refs need to be fired
I don't understand why they can't set time limits for replays. Some challenges should be allowed to go longer - either by the type of play of the time left in the game. But otherwise, 60 seconds is long enough. If you're supposed to catch it in real time in a 1/10th of a second, how can you not see it in 60 seconds. These 5-minutes reviews are what kills the flow of the game. Make PI reviewable but along with many other reviews, limit it to 60 seconds or less.
Agreed the delay is ridiculous.
To speed it up either have an official upstairs or at the league office in New York do the reviews and dump the yesteryear concept of the ref going under the hood.
If the hangup with dumping the drama of on field review by the ref will be Microsoft is paying the NFL big $$ to show Microsoft Surface while the review is going on, just have the announcer say the review is being brought to you by Microsoft Surface and put the Surface logo in the corner of the screen during the review
Now that Watson is retiring maybe he can move into a position to help make some necessary changes.
