In the Chargers / Ravens game, while at the goal line, the Chargers' player "rolled" into the end zone but it was ruled down at the goal line. But on the next play, the ball should have been literally at the one inch line but was out near the one yard line.
On that same drive, the runner dove to the end zone but his forearm was down with the nose of the ball literally sniffing the chalk on the goal line, but again on the next play, the ball was out more towards the one yard line.
How does that work? Is it the need for a "neutral zone"?
