Bengals Cedric Benson Wants More Focus on Running‎

Bengals running back Cedric Benson feels that Cincinnati’s offense needs to put more emphasis on running the football rather than passing it. The Bengals gave Benson carried the ball 23 times for 78 yards in the 15-10 victory over Baltimore. It was the first time in three games that he did not eclipse 100 yards against the Ravens. Benson believes the team’s offense should try to resemble the run first unit that it was in the 2009 season.

“We have to do what we did last year when we were a run-first team,” Benson said. “We have to focus on the run, establish the run and make plays on third downs. That is what took us to the playoffs last year.”
