    My thoughts

    Bush: duh

    Rapp: Washington is DB University

    Ridley: duh

    Ya-Sin:

    Pratt: great value for R4

Love: he would have once been a R1 choice, but now he’s settled back a tad

    Hyatt: very nice

Wilson: looked like a R1 pick prior to his injury, but never got back to that level

The first two are steals. Those two alone make it a great draft.

Oruwariye is a good (big) CB.

Butler (IMO) is gonna be a steal for somebody. Hopefully... for the Steelers.

Good value with Long. He’s short and only 220, but he’s amazing. He’s a ‘tweener: a big SS or a small ILB... which we seem to draft a lot. Regardless of his size, he was the Big 12’s DPOY (and second-team All-American) for a reason.

Everyone is picking Bush in round 1. What are the chances he is gone by 20?...

I would say so, a guy like Bush would be better than the projects that will never crack the starting lineup and practice squad fodder that they would otherwise select in the later rounds

Do we really need another CB or can we give Nelson a shot and address it in 2020 when we might potentially have an additional third for Bell?

I think I like this mock the most. 2 projected starting LB's from Michigan, 2 Extremely Talented WR's of different talents (#2 and 1 Slot), 2 steals on the OL, an athletic TE, a depth CB with potential, Plus a former RD1 prospect RB coming off an injury. (LJ Scott and Mike Weber were both available too.)

    I like it!

Oh dude, and a Safety, I completely over looked him. LOL.

I’d have no problem with that draft. There would be a log jam at WR though...lol.

JuJu, Moncrief, Washington, Switzer, Rogers, DHB, Renfrow, Ridley, Griffey. Would the team keep 7? DHb and Griffey being the obvious odd ones out? Otherwise if it were 6, would you keep Rogers or Washington if it came down to those two? I’d easily lean towards Washington as the one I’d let go...

I really like the idea of Bryce Love that late.

Juju, Moncrief, Washington, Switzer, (R)Riley, (R)Renfrow......as long as they're capable ST players. It leaves us extremely young and inexperienced at WR but with lots of quality potential moving forward.

Rogers has been injured often and inconsistent when healthy.
DHB has been around a long time and won't be there forever...and I think he and Justin Hunter are unsigned.
Griffey has never been able to make the team.
Washington is a young second round pick that started making plays at the end of the season. He deserves a chance to develop before giving up on him.

At RB/FB, we'd have Connors, Samuel's, Love & Nix. I think that could be a solid group.

I’ve seen Mocks with Rock Ya going at the end of the first and in the second rounds. Also have seen him late third...I feel like he’s the guy that nobody has their finger on as far as where he should be slotted...

he is a mid/late round 2 guy for me .... when he was still there I had to take him to much value to leave on the board ..

same thing with Stanley Morgan Jr , just couldn't leave him sit there .... might be the best route runner in entire draft he has decent speed and good hands ...kid is tough as nails and will make the contested catch he isnt getting a lot of love in the lead up to the draft but I think he is a kid that will find a way to make a roster and stick for many years ...

    Re: mock draft sims

    Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 Draft Class

RD1 - ILB - Devin Bush - Michigan (or CB Greedy Williams - LSU)
    RD2 - DE/OLB - Chase Winovich - Michigan
    RD3 - (f/Oak) - CB - Travon Mullen - Clemson (or ILB Germaine Pratt - NC State)
    RD3 - S - Darnell Savage Jr. - Maryland
RD4 - WR - Riley Ridley - Georgia (or WR Hunter Renfrow - Clemson)
    RD5 - (f/Oak) - TE - Caleb Wilson - UCLA
RD5 - (TRADED to Oak then BUF)
    RD6 - (f/Oak) - RB - LJ Scott - Michigan St.
    RD6 - CB - Jamal Peters - Miss. St.
    RD6 - (f/Ari) - OT - Mitch Hyatt - Clemson
    RD7 - (f/TB) - OG - Martez Ivey - Florida
RD7 - (TRADED to Cle then Mia then Det)

Option A or B leaves the team with depth at ILB, OLB, CB, S, TE, WR, RB, and camp bodies with potential on the OL.
I'd be extremely happy with either option.
I think taking Greedy and Pratt might leave us better off in the future at CB.
At WR I like Ridley over Renfrow to fit our needs even though I really like Renfrow's potential in the slot.

SIDENOTE: I'd love seeing a Steelers jersey that reads "Savage" over the next decade.

SIDENOTE: I'd love seeing a Steelers jersey that reads "Savage" over the next decade.
a photo of the backs ...

Greedy - Savage side by side ( if only first names were used on jerseys for some guys )
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now

Greedy Savage? Didn’t we just trade that guy?

    Re: mock draft sims

I am starting to lean away from ILB in rd 1 , unless something crazy happens and Devin White falls to 20 .....

I think if we tighten up the back end (FS) the addition of nelson at corner perhaps we are better served at ILB in the middle rounds but still go after a guy who can run ... ( maybe 2 of them )

this would be my course of action if I was heading up the war room ...

    Re: mock draft sims

    I can cut it to 5. (6)

    1. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson - Can play DB and ILB.

    2. TJ Hockenson - Gives run blocking and pass catching at a high level.

    3. DK Metcalf - Mismatch WR. Moss, Calvin, Metcalf.

    4. Hakeem Butler - Mismatch WR. 1 year wonder but not many with his ability on the planet.

5a. Jachai Polite - Tough interviews from what I have read. But his tape shows a baller that gets after the QB.
5b. Mack Wilson - Has fallen off boards this offseason. Very few splash plays. ILB is THE need. If not Wilson here, then who and when?

    Re: mock draft sims

as a side note ... I do not buy into these particular rankings

10 EDGE MONTEZ SWEAT - MISSISSIPPI STATE ----medicals medicals medicals ..... could be the pick or could be completely off the board depending on those medicals
    15 S TAYLOR RAPP - WASHINGTON
23 CB BYRON MURPHY - WASHINGTON
    27 S JOHNATHAN ABRAM - MISSISSIPPI STATE
35 S DEIONTE THOMPSON - ALABAMA .... for me flip a coin at who is the best safety in this class between Rapp and Thompson so I really disagree with his ranking here
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now
