This seems to be "underdog week". We were fortunate to not fall victim ourselves.

Saints are the best team in the league right now. Question is whether or not they peaked or can at least play like this in January. (If they play like this in January, Bourbon Street is having a Super Bowl parade)

Good chance that the saints have the first seed in the NFC and under Sean Payton / Drew Brees, the saints have never lost a home playoff game.

    Margin of victory, Week 11:
    DET +1 <--underdog
    DEN +1 <--underdog
    OAK +2 <--underdog
    HOU +2 <--underdog
    SEA +3
    DAL +3 <--underdog
    NYG +3
    BAL +3
    PIT +4
    IND +28 <-- underdog
    NO +41 (not over yet)

Out of the favorites that did win, only two beat the spread.

Bears up 22-14 late. Bears are keeping Vikings alive with a couple crucial fumbles and penalties

Bears win 25-20, up 1.5 games in the division. That defense is pretty good, however this team has NO killer instinct. This game should not have been as close as it was

Agreed. Bears are very good but still a year or 2 away from their potential.

Brees abs the Saints are a machine. They can beat you running and passing. But their defense sucks ass.

Eagles having worst season after a Super Bowl win since 2006 Steelers started 2-6 (2009 also was a train wreck but Steelers were 6-2 in early November before Troy got hurt again and the bottom fell out). Could be first defending champ with losing record for season (@Rams looks like a sure loss) since 2003 Bucs.

Hoping for a KC loss tonight, that'd make this week a great one.

What is the under/over for the points total tonight between Chiefs and rams? .... I think he'll have at least 80 points combined tonight!

Re: Week 11 Around The NFL

Interesting that the superior intellect of Philip Rivers gave the Broncos additional time in which to complete their game winning FG drive yesterday. In a similar situation with less than 2 minutes to go in the Ravens game two weeks ago, Ben (who everyone knows just gets by on his physical talent unlike Rivers) took the sack and allowed the clock to continue to run.

Loser: Philip Rivers’s Grasp of Time

Sunday’s game was different, because it didn’t end with a dramatic missed kick. It actually ended with a made field goal by the Broncos as the clock expired. Denver was able to do that because of a strange choice by Rivers: On third-and-7 after the two-minute warning and Denver out of timeouts, the Chargers called a screen pass. Rivers immediately realized that the Broncos had properly read the screen pass and that it would be unwise to attempt to complete the throw.
What Rivers should have done was fall over, or take a knee, or otherwise make it clear he had no intention of advancing the ball. This would have kept the clock running, taking 40 seconds off the clock. Instead, Rivers threw the ball into the ground, stopping the clock. Essentially, he was choosing to value a few yards over time—a terrible decision when trying to preserve a lead late in the game.

The chiefs punted on their first possession. Figure I wouldn't see a punt at least until midway through the second
