Steelers-Jags Flexed Out Of Sunday Night Football

NBC jumping off the Jags bandwagon

The NFL removed one of its most popular teams from the "Sunday Night Football" slot in Week 11 ... but likely not due to insufficient interest in the AFC North leaders or the potential 2018 debut of Le'Veon Bell, who is expected to end his holdout by Nov. 13.

The real problem was the Black and Gold are scheduled to play the sinking Jaguars in Jacksonville....

Instead, the country will be treated to Vikings at Bears

The article then notes what probably is going on with NBC giving up a game with a nationally popular team

It stands to reason that Pittsburgh will also be flexed out of "SNF" in Week 14, when the Steelers face the last-place Raiders in Oakland. Still, good bet you see Ben Roethlisberger and Co. reclaim the national spotlight somewhere down the line. The Steelers host the Chargers at 1 p.m. ET on Dec. 2, but that sure looks like a better game than that day's current "SNF" offering, 49ers at Seahawks. The Steelers will also be at New England and New Orleans later this season for 4:25 p.m. ET kickoffs

I recall CBS can protect some games from being flexed into Sunday night and would bet Steelers-Pats is one of them. AJRII will be thrilled if there is another night game at Heinz this season since that drives down attendance.
