1:37 left and down by 3, Jason Garrett elects to kick instead of going for the onside kick. Jason Garrett really should not be a head coach. How the hell did Dallas go to the playoffs with this red-headed buffoon?

The Ravens have so many problems(and unlucky too) with the close game in the last couple years.

They are only 4-3 this year despite being +75 in point differential.Last year they finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs even though their points differential was almost as good as the 13-3 Steelers.

I don't like Garrett as HC,but this is the good decision with 3 timeout left and be 3 points behind...Alex Smith is not Brady,Brees or etc...

less than 2 minutes, you go for the onside, if you make it you get the ball back. Down by 3 less than 2 minutes is not the time to play softball and kick it off and just hope the defense stops them. Garrett is lucky he got bailed out

The Ravens have a very solid team. IF they make it into the playoffs and have momentum, watch out.

Remember, they won it all from wildcard with amazing playoff play because they peaked at the right time.

Chance that you succeed a onside kick is very thin.

That is why if I could choose one team other than the steelers to make the playoffs in the AFC north, it would be the Bengirls. The Ravens would be a threat and would have a legit shot at winning it all. The Bengirls would blow it in the wildcard round yet again

At least you give yourself a chance to get the ball back right away rather than hoping your defense makes a stop then hope your offense drives for a score. Kicking the ball away in that situation is dumb because it shows you are playing not to lose instead of win when already you are losing

Ravens are the real deal this year.

You are the only reason I feel bad when the Ravens lose, crow.
I am disappointed, but not pissed. That was a very good game. Saints D ain’t that bad either.

Dallas misses a field goal after a penalty pushed them 5 yards back

Redskins now have a 1.5 game lead in the division because of AP and because the rest of the division is sucking this year

Onside kicks are tough when the line can’t move until the ball is kicked. Getting a running start made it doable. Now it’s damned hard.

This is one more reason why Garrett was right to Kick it with 3 timeout left.

His overtime punt against the Texans was inexcusable too.

    Justin Tucker was 222-for-222

Fire him, he missed one....at least that's what you'd hear in our game day thread.

While I am glad that KC scored to make it 14 zip. How was that not a block in the back?

At what point does Jacksonville call Landry Jones? I'm actually serious. Like how could he be worse? Maybe not better but certainly not worse!

Looks like a WIN for us in the bye week. Only question right now whether KC hangs up 40 or 50 on the Bungles...

Great candidate, but Drew Brees has a QB rating over 120 this year with 0 interception .... The saints are also 5-1 right now.

We should also consider that if Brees continues to play at a high level, Brees would have the advantage since despite his great career he has never won the mvp,so the media are going to want to give the mvp to him.

If the saints win their next two games against vikings and rams, it's going to be huge for Brees.

I’d love to see Brees win it but I think he will get hosed again.

The fact that Mahomes is playing with one of the worst defenses in the league while Brees is playing with a better defense (the D seems to have gotten their shit together after the Bucs disaster), should help Mahomes. Of course the media hype will further drive it in Mahomes' favor

Mahommes is great, but the biggest reason he has the hype over Brees is because it's his first year as a starter

Brees is dominant, year after year for most of the time.

But a lot of football remains to play.

    Agree.

Someone who should be in the conversation but would never win it is Adam Thielen. He is balling out big time and there’s really no one close to doing what he has been doing.

Yeah but MVP is a single season award, it's not a career achievement award. What sucks for Brees is that every year there always someone better (whether it was Brady, Manning, Rodgers, etc.). Mahomes is lighting it up and is just making amazing play after amazing play. Brees is amazing too though

No doubt it's going to be a very interesting race ... Better than last year, since I believe that Antonio Brown could have been the first WR to win the MVP if he would not have been hurt and that we would have won against the pats with a dominant performence by Brown, but that's another story.

But for this year, Todd Gurley could be in the hunt for the mvp too, since he's in pace to beat the L.T record for the Touchdowns in a season with 32.

Thielen is having a very 2017 Brown-like season and he’s doing it at a sneaky quiet pace. Through 7 games he’s got 5 TDS and over 800 yards. Brown was also a little over 800 and 3 TDs.
