Normal brain: release Josh Gordon and Martavis Bryant
Galaxy brain: trade Josh Gordon for Martavis Bryant
Thanks for the memories
What? If he's sober this makes no sense. They're on the hook for the cash. May as well have the player.
Honestly, if he has and can pass pee tests. Get him on a plane.

That may be a big if
The Browns are finally parting ways with troubled receiver Josh Gordon after he showed up late to Browns to the facility on Saturday morning and was "not himself," league sources told cleveland.com.

Thanks for the memories
The guy hurt his hamstring at a photo shoot, shows up at the facility...”not himself” showing signs of substance abuse? Not to mention the guy hasn’t played quality football in how many seasons/years?
All it takes is one sucker though...lol.
he got to say he was an NFL player about 3 years longer than he had any right to expect given his history ...
that said the league has seen some head cases but I am not sure any bigger ( in terms of drugs and talent ) as this kid
SUPREMELY Talented , if on a good team and clean perhaps could have been a record setting kind of player ...
rare combination of size/speed /athleticism and a pair of hands to go with it .... we always talk about wasted Talent but honestly not sure if there is a bigger one that I can think of
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now
guess teams do not value draft picks much /shrug ... Browns didnt throw him away for being late to practice .... not after putting up with all they have ...
he will be suspended is my guess so spending a pick for a guy who has a strained hammy and is about to be suspended isnt a good gamble IMO

Interesting that all the reports this morning indicate that he will be traded, not cut, and it has nothing to do with substance abuse...so Browns are going to Browns?
Meaning you know what the Jos Gordon rodeo is at this point. So if he makes the team out of camp, it makes no sense to cut him after one odd event a week into the season. Also, his hurt hammy doesn’t sound all that bad. Plus, the Browns signed up for Josh Gordon 2.0 in Antonio Callaway. Hopefully once this all goes down Cabot will write a post-mortem that brings it all into sharper focus.
Maybe the troubled child just needs a change of environment?
All Defense!
The Browns have been sticking with this guy for so long and enduring everything this basket case has to offer...something more had to push the Browns over the edge to finally cut ties with him. A bum hammy and a tardiness probably isn’t the end of the story and we may never know what happened to lead to the release.
one year vet minimum
