    Week 1 other scores

    Final scores
Ravens 47 Bills 3: God, please don't let Nathan Peterman play in another game, the world can't handle it

Bengals 34 Colts 23: Bengal player got a suspension. Luck topped 300 yards. Colts could be a playoff team is Luck stays healthy

Vikings 24 49ers 16: Garappolo with an ugly start, 9ers rallied late

Patriots 27 Texans 20: Watson put some poor stats against an underwhelming Pats defense. Brady is still Brady

Bucs 48 Saints 40: After 1 week my Super Bowl winner pick appears wrong. Saints saved the Steelers from biggest week 1 embarrassment by losing to Fitzpatrick and the Bucs AT HOME while allowing Fitzpatrick to put up 48 points. Return of the 14-16 Saints defense. Brees deserves better

Jags 20 Giants 15: Offense looking sub-par. They aren't winning a championship with Bortles

In progress: Dolphins 7 Titans 3 (3rd quarter due to weather delay): Titans looking embarrassing thus far

Chiefs 38 Chargers 28 (4th): Not a good start for the Chargers. After 1 week, the Chiefs look like the favorite to make the AFC Championship game by default then choke in New England

Redskins 24 Cardinals 0 (4th): Surprised, thought the Cards had more talent. Also AP passed Jim Brown for 10th all time in rushing yards and scored his 100th TD.

    Panthers 16 Cowboys 0 (4th): Cowboys O looks dead

Seattle Wilsons 24 Broncos 20 (4th): Wilson carrying the team thus far. Not a good sign Seattle's D appears unable to even hold the Broncos awful O to under 20 points

After getting the dysfunctional Browns today, not thrilled with the next three Steelers games being against offenses that put up 38, 48, and 47 points
    Thanks for the memories

Agreed - but if Haden is out for any sustained time with the hamstring strain I do not want shootouts while the Steelers offense is still rounding into shape
    Thanks for the memories

Final Broncos 27 Seahawks 24: Christ Seattle, 27 points against the Broncos? Legion of Boom? More like Legion of gloom

    - - - Updated - - -

Final score Panthers 16 Cowboys 8: Both defenses look stout, but both offenses leave a lot to be desired, (and Cowboys offense leaves a WHOLE LOT to be desired)

Also Dolphins 24 Titans 17 with 10 minutes left

Not worried about our offense...The only thing that stopped our offense was Ben .... Last year in the first 5 games, the steelers had struggle to move the ball ... It was not the case against the browns with 472 yards and 25 first downs...And I think the browns will have a much better defense than the bucs and the chiefs this year.

And I understand why many are down after the game against the browns, but one of the only negative for the steelers against the browns was Ben.Our defense played very well and although Tyrod Taylor is not a great QB, he is at least an average QB and the Browns are not the same team as the last two years...Much more talent and I would not be surprised to see the browns surprise a bit like the jaguars last year...Not to go in the AFC title game or even make the playoffs, but to win 7-8 games

My 2 questions for them are their o-line and Hue Jackson.

Chiefs 38 Chargers 28 Final: 38 points against one of the best defenses in the league (albeit minus Bosa with a foot injury). Mahomes with 4 TDs. Offense appears on fire so far, but defense still appears pretty piss poor

    Re: Week 1 other scores

Well, the refs are in midseason form already, at least...

Ref: Review call was too late on Rob Gronkowski catch

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski made a spectacular catch late in the first half against the Houston Texans -- unless he didn't.

Gronk's controversial 28-yard catch between two Texans defenders helped set up a Patriots touchdown five plays later to take a 21-6 lead into the locker room. But replays of the catch immediately cast doubt on whether Gronkowski had possession of the ball when he went down, so why wasn't it reviewed?

Well, NFL officials in New York tried to get the on-field officials' attention, but the call to the field came too late, referee Tony Corrente said after the Patriots' 27-20 victory.

"...The situation was that New York did get back to us," Corrente said, per the official pool report. "However, unfortunately, they didn't get to the game officials on the field until after the play had already started. ... They got to us on the field, but the play had already developed. It had started."

I'm sorry, but ANYBODY ELSE and they blow the whistle whether the ball was snapped or not and go to the review.

Mike Mccarthy must not have the Packers ready for this game.

Nagy can coordinate the heck out of an offense. But Trubisky is just not good.

Ugghh...these new announcers almost make me miss Gruden.

At first I thought Scott Hamilton switched sports.
