Antonio Brown's record start to career has him in special company

Whether it’s the one-handed catches honed by the thousands of balls he catches off the JUGS machine or his patented “Tony toe-tap” sidelines acrobatics, Antonio Brown makes the difficult seem routine.

The highlight reel catches grab your attention, but Brown also spoils with his consistency. He has accumulated three 1,500-yard seasons in the past four years. Jerry Rice, who is widely regarded as the best receiver in the history of the NFL, had four 1,500-yard seasons during his entire 21-year career.

Brown is just 90 yards shy of 10,000 for his career as he enters his ninth NFL season. The prolific start to his career has Brown on pace to rank among the NFL’s all-time leading receivers and perhaps challenge Rice’s records for yards and receptions, which for years have been considered unbreakable.

If Brown reaches 90 receiving yards against the Browns in the Sept. 9 season opener he’ll reach the 10,000-yard milestone in 116 games. Only one player in the history of the NFL reached that milestone sooner. Calvin Johnson recorded 10,000 yards in 115 games.

I honestly think if he retired today, he'd already be in the hall. He was a player his entire career he's been told he couldn't be great because he wasn't tall or didn't run the 40 under 4.4, and made fools out of everybody saying that.

Would they call his ESPN special 5 for 50?
